Dr Martens 1460 Pascal White Wild Poppy Boots*

By April 3, 2014 My Style

What’s up people? I actually had to look up other ways to introduce blog posts because I think ‘Hello everyone’ can get a bit repetitive. Wow, #bloggerproblems at an all time low. Anyway, the actual reason of this post is for me to do my full review of my precious Dr Martens, the 1460 Pascal White Wild Poppy Boots to be exact. I absolutely love them so I thought I would tell you what they are like comfort, style and practicality wise!

dr martens 1460 pascal white wild poppy boots mastershoe myshuDr Martens 1460 Pascal – White Wild Poppy £79.99 (Mastershoe MyShu)*

I am obsessed with these. They are literally perfect in every shape and form. They arrived in a lovely box from Mastershoe MyShu, and I couldn’t have been more happy! I already have a black sort of grey metallic pair which are perfect and I love them, but these were just the cherry on the top. I got them in the same size as my other pair which is a Size 5 as I do think they come up quite big. I’m more of a size 5½ or a 6, but these fit like a glove. Because they weren’t worn in like my other pair, they are SO much more comfortable and I have to say… I would probably recommend getting new Dr Martens than old ones!

The print on these though. WOW. They are honestly perfect. They’re like the nicest floral print for all seasons. I could definitely see myself wearing these in the winter with nice thick tights and a plain black dress. They also make me feel like I have stepped out of Tumblr… I think that feeling will grow even bigger when I wear them with shorts. Oh my I cannot wait!

The leather is super super soft, and makes wearing these so comfortable. I’m usually one to say you need to wear thick socks with Dr Martens, but with these, it’s probably not a necessity! I get away just fine with wearing sport socks in these, which is good news for summer 🙂 We also cannot forget the ‘Bouncing Soles’. These soles are… AMAZING! Honestly cannot believe how comfortable these are to walk in, they are cushioned and cosy. I’m also a big fan of the tag on these, the colour is nicer than the normal black tag in my opinion! …am I the only one who has to have the tag in view when wearing DMs? It just feels wrong not to!

I think I should also talk about price when it comes to these bad… girls…? (In my opinion, these are not male in-animate objects)… I would actually say the price is pretty darn reasonable. Some DMs can hit the £150 mark, so these are like a bargain! For the comfort and style, you are definitely paying for a good pair of shoes, and they are sure to last you a good time! Plus postage at Mastershoe is FREE for the UK, and no more than £10 for the Rest of the World, which I don’t think you can say not to!

I thought I would hit on a tip for any Dr Marten bargain hunters. It might seem obvious but when looking for 2nd hand pairs or a good price on eBay somebody might give you a rip off! The way to check is to look at the sole and see whether it has the stamp on the bottom. If not, then you are getting a cheap pair! The real deal is always best 😉

Hello my gorgeous munchkins (or handsome, for you boys out there), I hope you are well! Today marks a special day because *dun dun dunnn* the Company Magazine Style Blogger Awards 2014 – that’s a mouthful… or keyboard full?… – are open for business! 😀 I do kinda’ hate these posts, but of course any blogger in their right mind wants to let their readers know about special occasions, and this is one of them. I still feel bamboozled about the moment when a tweet came in last year saying ‘You’re shortlisted! Congrats’… it was crazy. I think my heart skipped a beat. I still cannot thank you all enough for getting me from being nominated to the actual event… I want to hug every single one of you. Luckily I did get to hug some of you including my best pineapple, Anna and the lovely Alex (they both rock) last year, and I still have the photo-booth pictures to prove it. For some reason I am a lot more nervous for this year. Even though I don’t have to enter or even tweet saying I want to, I just have those extra few butterflies in my tummy. It would absolutely mean the world to me if you clicked the link above (or this one) and just nominated. Obviously you don’t have to, but it would make me smile a tad more 🙂 My awesome GIF tells you exactly how to do it… just in case 😉

My Style: Going On An Adventure*

By March 27, 2014 My Style

Hello everyone! Just a little fact before you starting reading this blog post… that title is actually from the Snowy Adventure episode of Tots TV… oh yes, how cool? Hahaha! Ah… the things my family think of when we go on a nice woodland walk… also, look at my bland straight hair for a good while longer… this maybe the last ever OOTD where it is pretty boring! I got some subtle layers in my hair, and it’s a bit shorter (picture here)! 😉 Also also! Look, look, look… I was interviewed by Company Magazine :O about my new site, Bundle! You can read it here! Snazzy!

Woahhh! Way too over exposed face… do excuse! There is this really lovely path near us which takes you through the woods and into this great big valley, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show off ma’ new red girls wellies! I think it makes a nice change to the usual outfit, because you can see what I really wear. I’m not saying what I wear isn’t what I wear (aha), I just mean that this is more casual and relaxed and perhaps a more day to day outfit! These wellies though *perfection hand sign* are so comfortable! I’ve worn them out and about and they are just so warm and snug! Paired with the Joules welly socks, they are the ultimate pair, and in my opinion, a bargain! They are in the kids section, but they go up to an adult size 7! And of course you cannot forget my blouse and faux leather jacket combo once again (see previous outfit here), my brother says it’s a James May shirt (-____-) but I say it is utterly gorgeous… and it is, for sure!

my style joules ark clothing chelsea doll my style joules ark clothing chelsea dollAhah! My face is so funny in that top picture… the path is very downhill so the walk back up made me all red faced! You can see my wellies in some underwater action too! No leakages so far, and it meant I could splash around and show off to my family who were all in normal shoes 😉 #WellyAdvantages 😉 Ooh ooh and you can see more of my AWESOME scissor necklace from Chelsea Doll! I love how it just peeps under the collar of my blouse and looks like it is almost embellished onto it! You can see a clearer picture below, FYI! I do have to say though, country walks are so nice, especially when you have a can of coke at the end 😉

May as well stick it as a border! I feel sad that I have walked in my wellies as much as I have… they’ve lost the shine they had *sob*… ah well, I guess I have my scissor necklace to make feel better! Honestly Chelsea Doll, you have some dayum good statement necklaces! 😀 I have a wishlist coming up soon which will feature 2 pieces which I would love to add to my collection! …for now though, I shall leave you with this funny GIF… I failed at doing the whole ‘whimsical blowing leaf GIF’… damn you wind for not helping it look even more awesome! 😉

Monster High Get The Look Contest with Claire’s

By March 20, 2014 Competitions, My Style

Not long ago now, I got contacted by the amazing people at Universal Pictures UK, (I know, crazy!) and they asked me to be an ambassador for their contest which they are running along side with Claire’s Accessories. It’s all in celebration of the Monster High: Frights, Camera, Action! DVD release! They wanted me to recreate a look as inspiration for anybody wanting to enter the ‘Monster High Get The Look’ competition! Of course I said yes, and here it is!

monster high get the look claire's accessories viperine monster high get the look claire's accessories viperine monster high get the look claire's accessories viperineWhat I Wore: Printed Dress (H&M), Velvet Pinafore £22.99 (ARK Clothing)*, Pastel Blue Petticoat Skirt £20.00 (M&S), Pretty Polly Socks (ASOS), Statement Necklace (eBay) & Jumbo Hair Clips (Claire’s)

I thought I would re-create Viperine from Monster High‘s look, because I thought the make-up was really interesting, and I think when it comes to re-creating something, the make-up is always the strong point. I actually really liked the eye make-up, it was really strong but didn’t really involve much. I have listed all the products I used at the end of the post so you can take a look! I also straight away knew that I had to wear my petticoat because it is just perfect peeping underneath the pinafore like Viperine’s dress. I was chucking out pieces from my wardrobe (charity shop of course!) and I am so glad I didn’t get rid of my H&M dress because the colours are perfect!

It’s actually a real bargain! The curls look super cute pinned back with my jumbo clips from Claire’s! I’ve had them for ages, and not only do I use them when sectioning my hair, they also make a great accessory! To re-create Viperine’s snake-y extra arms, I popped in some pink ribbons towards the back of my hair and they add that pop of colour! Plus my trusty eBay necklace, which looks pretty good for a replacement of Viperine’s version!

Well my friend, it is because the doll version of Viperine, carries around a palette pretty similar to the one I am holding! (Do excuse my weird knee in the first picture… not sure what happened there!) I must say… I am pretty glad I am not Viperine though…. ew. Her skin is all scaley like a snake and I am not a fan of that! Although her dress sense is pretty nice! I am really happy with the pictures of this blog post because I finally know how to get awesome bokeh, and I think I have figured out the settings on my new lens! Eeep! …you might not see my hair as long as it is for much longer! Getting a snip and a few layers popped in in 4 days! (Bit like this…)

My Style: ‘Trolly’ Dolly Posh*

By March 15, 2014 My Style

Howdy awesome peeps! Hope you are good! If not, I hope this post and it’s very ‘punny’ name makes you feel better 😉 It’s definitely getting warmer where I am, the pool cover is off (showing a very green pond) and the sky has been blue for about 4 days in a row… keep it together weather, please!

Ermagherd. I love this outfit SO SO SO much! It’s such a random outfit, but somehow I just love it! I don’t care about the stares I get from annoying french people (seriously though, who teaches them that staring is not rude?!), I love this outfit and that is all that matters. I mean… a New York slogan top = Carrie Diaries, a troll necklace = retro and my new nickname, uhum, Trolly Dolly Posh, puffy skirt = pastel perfectness AND floral Dr Marten’s (which can I just say, are so comfortable) = what more could you want?! I am actually obsessed. I just want to wear it everyday! Come on sun, just be that tad warmer so I don’t have to wear annoying skin coloured tights…

It was crazy! There was this one ride which had little ponies for children to ride on 🙁 I don’t understand the french, they just don’t have the same thoughts about animals as us English folk! On a positive note… look how cool my little ‘troll family’ look against the bright lights… awesome! I wore the same outfit but as it was too dark, I couldn’t do the snazzy pictures with bright bokeh in the background, urgh. Not cool… 😉

my style peacocks chelsea doll troll family necklace master shoe floral dr martens my style peacocks chelsea doll troll family necklace master shoe floral dr martensI will be doing a full review on these beauties, but I couldn’t resist wearing them in this outfit! Before I do that post though… these honestly are SO FREAKING COOL! As you will know, I adore Dr Martens. They are not only fabulous practicality wise, they also look beautiful, and these are the cherry on the top! I feel a bit proud of myself really, because when I got my first pair from a jumble sale last year, I never imagined that the next year I would be getting a pair as a gift for my blog!?! Eeee, just looking at them makes me feel giddy! You could win yourself some if you head over to Bundle too! Hurry up summer time so I can wear cool vintage shorts and a floppy hat and nice bikini and be all like ‘Look at me like I’m from Tumblr, wearing boots and shorts…’ 😉 😉 Wearing my puffy tutu again has made me realise why I bought it in the first place. Definitely going to put it out so I remember to wear it more! It’s gorgeous!

my style peacocks chelsea doll troll family necklace master shoe floral dr martensI thought I would leave you with this ‘alright’ picture and this really weird and funny looking picture of me! I do pull some funny faces… if you were to zoom in on that picture on the right, you’d see that my chin is actually really weird, and that it can bend inwards and go into the pointiest shape ever. Oh well that is life… nobody is perfect and all that jazz! Well… outfits can be perfect, and this is one of them! …in my opinion! Actually who cares?! This outfit IS perfect, no matter what you say. Yeah. Hmmmm. Yes, I did just get sassy with you. Ooh yeah. YEAH. Okay, now I’m just talking to myself because hopefully you are in the comments section… or now you are… hmm… you better be. *sighs at self and decides to look up people who are not weird and mimic them… then realises that that is impossible if you are already weird* THE END.

My Style: London Retro & A Give-Away*

By March 5, 2014 Competitions, My Style

Hello! I will explain my theory further in this post, but I believe it maybe my first OOTD of Spring…. oh yes. It is so beautiful outside whilst I write this (sitting on a table by the window – actually quite uncomfortable being a bony person), and I cannot wait to start sitting outside more. Enjoy this blog post because it has a GIVE-AWAY in it and you know what that means 😉

What I Wore: Faux Leather Biker Jacket £46.99 (Hearts & Bows – ARK)*, French Navy Bouquet Blouse (Joules)*, Blue and White Skirt €5.00 (Jumble Sale), Blue Floral Keds (ASOS), NANCY Sunglasses (London Retro – My Optique)* & Facial Ring Set (Rings & Tings)*

This outfit is a really good transitional outfit in my opinion. The top half is quite autumnal and the bottom half quite spring like, but the way the blouse picks out the blue from the skirt, makes it acceptable. I have been wearing this faux leather and blouse combo so much since I received them both, and I am literally obsessed. Not only have I really been wanting a faux leather jacket for years, I am also on a bit of a ‘blouse high’. I’ve never been the biggest Joules fan, but my thoughts on the brand have definitely changed since getting this blouse because 1, the women’s shirts are amazing quality, and 2 – just because it has the sort of ‘Polo’ ‘Horse Riding’ theme around the brand, it doesn’t mean you have to style it that way which you can see by this outfit! The leather jacket is so nice, and it fits amazingly. It’s not shiny either so it looks really nice and not tacky. I absolutely love my bargain skirt too but the one thing is the buttons… I think I might do a bit of a tweak to them. Overall as I said, I really like this outfit and it has a good balance of colours and styles.

I’ve had my blue floral Keds for about a year now. I had some navy ones (I am pretty sure they were kids – much better size for my slim feet!) but I grew out of them, and just couldn’t live without them, so I went on ASOS and saw they were way cheaper than Schuh or Keds, and snapped up a pair, but unfortunately ‘adult sized’ Keds don’t fit me as well, so although they fit after yonks of waiting, they are still slightly sloppy. In terms of jewellery in this OOTD, I went with my 3 rings from Rings & Tings, which are gorgeous. I’m not the biggest fan of the lips one, but I think the eye and the faux ruby look amazing. I’ve never really worn gold and silver together, but I think they look very nice together.

london retro give-away nancy glasses ark faux leather jacket

The sunglasses I am wearing are from London Retro. As a blogger I know all the gossip about PR reviews and things like that, and reviewing a pair of these I guess is known as ‘controversial’, but I decided I would review them for you, and let everybody know what they are really like. I’m a big fan of quite round sunglasses because I think they look really summery and (London) retro 😉 😉 and when I first tried these on, I wasn’t quite sure they suited me, but looking back at these pictures, I have decided they don’t look half bad!  I would have to say I am more of a ‘big’ sunglasses fan, and these come  up quite small on me, which is one thing to take into consideration seeing as I am only a small little person. One thing I found different compared to the pictures on the site is that the blue in the tortoise shell doesn’t come up as bright and as obvious. For those of you who need prescription lenses, these are available like that too! If you would like to win ANY pair from London Retro… here is what you need to do…

DIY: Girl Scout Sash Rookie Mag Inspired*

By February 23, 2014 DIY & Lifestyle, My Style

Howdy! So, quite a while ago now, I had an idea. How about I do DIY each month (or every other), not only for myself to learn things, but for some ideas for you guys?! So, I’m here, and I’m doing it for you! This is the first ‘major’ DIY I have done, so please excuse any mistakes, but I hope it is a fun one! Enjoy…

diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabrics

I originally saw this idea in the Rookie Yearbook One, wear they did like a ‘Girl Scout’ inspired shoot, called ‘Camp Rookie’. I thought it was a really cute idea and that a sash could become an awesome fashion accessory. I put a few bits and bobs in my scrap book and started making it up! I also thought it would be cool as Orla Kiely’s SS14 collection was sort of ‘Girl Scout-esque’. So here is my DIY Rookie Mag Sash…

diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabricsdiy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabricsThings You Will Need: Monochrome Check Cotton £6.45/m (My Fabrics)*, Appliqués  (My Fabrics)*, Interfacing, Scissors, Pins, Sewing Machine, Pattern Paper/Baking Paper, Poppers, Un-picker & an Iron.

The first thing you need to do is create a pattern. I’ve made a small rough guide for you above, which is the shape you need to go for. I went for 14.5cm wide and 76.3cm long, with the end point being 14.5cm by 14.5cm. You will use this as a guide to cut along. You can either use baking paper, or thick long paper (what I used). Cut that out, and then your pattern is done! You also need some pins out, and of course some scissors to get snipping! On the pattern guide, you will notice I have put ‘STRAIGHT’. This means you need to put the pattern down on the straight grainnot the bias (the stretchy way).

diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabricsYou want to cut of the sash shapes on the fabric of choice (make sure you pin the pattern down nice and tight before cutting). I chose this awesome check from MyFabrics who are helping me put together this whole post! The selection on their site is amazing! They have so much and you are bound to find something you like! After you have cut the 4 pieces of fabric, you will want to cut of your interfacing. You don’t have to use interfacing, but it makes the sash more sturdy. Don’t worry about being too neat when cutting as you will be trimming off all the ends later on!

diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabricsYou then want to go to your iron. If you are using iron-on interfacing, then at this point you will need to iron the bobbly side onto of the fabric pieces. If your fabric has a pale side, then make sure you are ironing them onto that, but mine was the same on both so there was no need to worry! If you have iron on patches for your sash, then you will need to place and iron, these onto one of the now ‘interfaced’ fabric pieces, obviously, onto the front. You need to make sure to leave 2cm of space on each side, as we will be cutting this off later. I would recommend sewing any non iron-on badges on at this stage. Learn more about Appliqué badges here!

When you have done this, take your 2 ‘interfaced’ fabric pieces, and lay them down interface upwards. Lay them out so that the tops meet (in one long line), and make sure that at least 2cm are overlapping at each ‘top’ end. Do the same to the other two pieces of fabric. Then sew the 2 overlapping pieces together with your sewing machine, just straight down the overlapping part. The below picture is of the 2 ‘interfaced’ pieces and what they should look like…

diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabricsAfter you have done that, go back to your iron, and flatten the sticking up pieces, down. This is also a good chance to iron them all over again to remove any creases (this makes it easier in the sewing machine). Then you will need to lay the 2 pieces you now have, over the top of each other, making sure they are perfectly in-line, but read this very clearly: You need to have the piece with your iron-on badges on the bottom, facing with the badges, upwards. Then put the other piece with the interfacing facing, upwards. Then you want to pin these, but making sure that the pins are perfectly straight and the heads are not on the outside edge, otherwise you might break your sewing machine needle! Then sew this all up but make sure to leave a big enough gap so you can turn it the right way out. I would recommend leaving this gap near the middle stitch you made earlier.

diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabricsOnce you have sewn them up, you can now cut off your rough edges, leaving a bit of space around the line you just stitched. Then you will need to pull the fabric through the gap and put it all the right way. After this, it might be a bit puffy. You will need to wet your fingers a bit and sort of roll the edges to get it all straight, making sure you do it all the way round. The points on the end of your sash might be a bit funny and might be still inside the sash, so get an un-picker and slightly pull it out. This will loosen the thread making it a perfect point again. Go back to your iron, and iron it all round very neatly. You then want pop it back into the sewing machine, and go all the way round the sash again, leaving only about 3mm space between the edge, to not only to make the sash a bit neater, but also to close up the gap that is still there.

You can now try on your sash, and find a place down by both points that meet nicely. This will be where you put your poppers. You can put an embroidery stitch if you wish, but I think a popper is a lot more practical. Just sew both pieces on, and voila!

diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabrics diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabrics diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabrics diy rookie mag sash camp rookie my fabrics

Ta-Da! Job done! I’m really happy with the way it came out as it is quite stiff but you can still move around in it perfectly! I love how bright the badges are and I think making it personal with things like ‘Air France’, makes it properly unique to me! It looks pretty cool around my new faux leather jacket*, non? I think because the checks are monochrome, it will be really versatile and I am sure I will get quite a lot of wear out of it especially in the summer! I really enjoyed doing this little DIY, and if you are interested in making it, but not sure what for, then maybe it would be cool for some kind of photo shoot, or as a gift! There will be an OOTD featuring my awesome sash very soon, so watch out for that! 😀

If you try out this DIY, make sure to take a picture and tag me on Twitter or Instagram! Good Luck!

(Although MyFabrics provided me with fabric and applique badges, the idea and everything was done by me, absolutely 100%. You can read my full disclaimer here.)

Oh wait, one more thing… I have made the images bigger because I think it will make them look even more awesome and snazzy, so yah.

It’s amazing what a different piece of glass can do… Honestly though I feel like I could become a LookBook.nu professional… jokes jokes. The clothes Tolly, talk about the clothes… well… I LOVE this outfit, honestly it’s super comfortable and is perfect for this time of the year. I picked up this amazing dungarees in the ASOS sale and it’s super slouchy and adjustable which means I can wear it like jumbo, or nice and snug. I also adore this sweater I got sent from Peacocks. I think it looks gorgeous with the polka dots, and it’s  the perfect piece you could take through from summer to winter. It’s not a piece I would usually think of as from Peacocks, but as I have said before, they’re really stepping up their game!

My super awesome silver heels that I won. They’re the perfect accessory for an outfit like this because they just add that little bit of ‘formal’ to it. I’m also really liking having my hair up half down. When I was younger at school I used to always do it but I then had it cut shorter and it didn’t look as good, but now it’s grown back and I think it looks just right! You’ll be shocked in the next pictures… I have no nail polish on. A blogger with no nice manicure?! My word! (Jokes… but seriously, I can never be bothered) Oh and you know I mentioned a give-away? Well, I’m re-opening my Shuttersong watch give-away. Unfortunately their weren’t many entries on Facebook, so I thought I’d give you lovely blog readers a chance to win! New Look Wishlist: Blue Blue Blue*

By January 22, 2014 My Style, Wishlist

Hello everyone! (I still have no idea how to introduce these blog posts) Today I have a bit of a wishlist for you from New Look! I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite pieces at the moment, and I hope you like it! I didn’t purposely make it all colour coordinated, but that’s kinda’ how it ended out!

New Look WishlistTeen Tile Print Dress//Teen Space Dye Dress//Cold Shoulder Dress//Teen Alabama Airtex Crop Top//Teen Polka Dot Crop Shirt//Block Heel Sandals//Teardrop Choker

Tile Dress – I have really taken a liking to shift dresses, and this one is super nice! I think it would be perfect for all occasions and all seasons. Wear it in Summer with a pair of sandals, in Autumn with a big snood, Winter with a leather jacket etc etc. It’s just such a versatile and simple dress! Shift dresses are really flattering too, so this would be perfect for me with my mini figure!

Space Dye Dress – I think ‘2 piece look-a-like’ dresses are the perfect of ‘easy wear’ items to own. You can literally just wear it, plus some shoes, and then… you’re done! I’m a big fan of marl, or tie dye, so this is such a gorgeous dress for me. EEEE, I seriously cannot wait until Summer so I can wear nice dresses and loads of friendship bracelets and just be all cool and like ‘Oooh yeah, I’m all snazzy because it’s the Summer’… um, I believe writing past 7 o’clock at night means I go slightly mad and bring out my inner self.

Cold Shoulder Dress – I’ve always liked the idea of these style dresses, and the fact that you could still wear it with things underneath, makes them pretty cool. I also like how this one is really nice and floaty so you could wear it on the beach and it would look love-r-ly.

Alabama Crop Top – Ooh, 2nd item in blue… oops. I’m not usually a big fan of sport luxe, but this is actually quite cool. The texture of it would make it so nice to layer and it would look so cute with a pair of shorts. Ooooh, seriously guys I cannot wait for the sunshine… *sigh*

Polka Dot Crop Top – I’ve been on the look out for a nice button up blouse, and I am a big fan of navy and white, so this one is now on my radar! It’s pretty cute, and would go with quite a lot of my wardrobe. Perfect!

Necklace & Shoes – Another blue-ish item with the necklace. I haven’t got many silver pieces which are nice and chunky, so this one looks so pretty. It would look so nice with a fluffy jumper, dungarees, any of the above dresses, so basically anything! The shoes are also really nice because they don’t look too high. They look like they would be quite comfortable and would again go with quite a lot.

My Style: Sweet Sweet Meringue*

By January 19, 2014 My Style

Hello! I’m back with another ‘My Style’ OOTD for you! I’m obsessed with The Carrie Diaries at the moment, so this outfit is definitely inspired by her style. I love mixing prints anyway, but this combo is awesome… in my opinion 😉

my style ark clothing punkypins asos pink coat ss14 trendWhat I Wore: Pink Coat* (ARK Clothing – No longer available), Zebra Print Turtle Neck (Jumble Sale), Denim Camouflage Skirt £9.00 (ASOS), Floral Necklace £15.00* (Punky Pins) & Metallic Soldier Heels (ASOS – Give-Away Prize)

Do you remember my Christmas Wishlist? Well, one of the items was a gorgeous pair of Soldier heels from ASOS, and look what I have! The ASOS Santa was doing a Give-Away, and I won some! YAY! I also treated myself to this skirt in the sale, and I am so happy I did! It’s so nice, and I’ve never had a denim skirt before so this is a nice all season addition. 2 other additions to my wardrobe, are my pink coat – so trendy 😉 😉 – and my gorgeous necklace. I love them both so much! The coat actually fits so nicely, and it’s a size 8 as well, so well done ARK! Unfortunately I have 1 broken version of this necklace, and 1 good version, which is a shame, but it is very good quality and even has sparkles in it… win win! If my hair was blonde and curly, I could get away as Carrie Bradshaw right? Gahh, I wish my hair wasn’t so bland… I mean, most people would love to have straight soft hair, but I would do anything for a bit of shape and volume. I finished Season 1 of The Carrie Diaries within like, 5 days… and I bought the book… and I kinda’ really want to just be her… *sigh* …although, am I the only one who doesn’t find Sebastian attractive? No? Just me… rightio… *awkward whistle*

I love all of the colours against each other in this outfit, and I can get away with wearing thick tights too! I love, love lovepastel against monochrome as well, it looks so purrrrty. Oh, and if you are interested, that is how high the shoes are! They’re pretty high, and make me taller than my sister, but they are so comfortable because they have a block heel. I’m just getting used to walking in them seeing as I’m more of a flats gal, but other than stairs, I seem to be doing well. Holographic shoes are in my wardrobe guys… mission accomplished 😀 Take a look at that meringue too… oh it was SO good! Definitely picture worthy! So picture worthy, I had to have these funny ones taken…

I honestly cannot wait until the summer when I can whip off those thick tights and coat. Summer here in France is so beautiful and makes me so happy, and I miss it like mad. Plus it means I can get a tan – Oh dear, I just said that in my head like Donna from TCD… oops… probably not the best of people to think it like… – and I can go to the beach and lay by the pool (if the wasps aren’t buzzing around, I have a HUGE phobia) and drink as many glasses of Coca-Cola that I wish…
