Give-Away & Review with Harts + Crosses*

By March 12, 2013 Competitions, Fashion

Bonjour! Hello! Ciao! I am back again! This post has been long awaited now, as I have been a little bit poorly and busy with the family, I am now ready to do it! As you probably know already, I’m a fan of jewellery! I love festival style jewellery, bold necklaces and dainty little bracelets, and I know somewhere which has all of that, for the best prices! Harts & Crosses sell things that are purse friendly prices, with purse friendly P&P prices too! They are fun, cute and really friendly, and I am sure you are going to love them!

photo 1 photo 2 photo 3 photo 4From L to R: Crossector Bracelet £2.50, Cameo Necklace £1.00 (On Sale), W-Oven Bracelet £0.50, Feather Ring (Out of Stock), Hey Daisy Earrings & Cross Charmin’ Earrings.

All of these items are super cute! My favourite has got to be the ring, which unfortunately has sold out, but there are plenty more cute rings to choose from like this Dragon Fly Ring, which I love! I also love the Cameo Necklace which at first I thought would be so dainty, you wouldn’t even be able to notice it, but after taking it out of the packaging, I realised how nice it is! The chain is a nice size and would look really good on top of a big scarf. I also love the woven bracelet! It would look good with loads of them together, which I actually may do… 😉 Harts + Crosses are a great brand, and you really should go take a look at them, because I reckon you’ll come off the site with something in your basket!

photo 2 photo 5 photo 1Here are the cross & daisy earrings. They are both brilliant! With daisies & crosses being in trend this spring, you cannot go wrong! If I had my ears pierced I would totally wear these all day long! My favourite are the crosses because they could make any outfit a bit more edgy! As I just said, I don’t have my ears pierced, so! I have decided to run a give-away! Harts & Crosses have allowed me to give both pairs away to one of my readers! Which is brilliant, because I will be celebrating 1 Whole Year of Blogging on March 29th 2013.  Here are the instructions and T&Cs:

PRITCH London: My Styling

By March 10, 2013 Fashion

I love jackets! I don’t actually have that many, but I do like them! You can just throw them on, and complete a look in seconds! I actually bought one today. It’s a white zip-up one, and it only cost me €1 – it was from a Jumble Sale. I think I might buy some studs off of eBay to vamp it up, or maybe I’ll save up for a proper leather one from PRITCH London. Yup, I think that’s what I’ll do! Here is how I would style a jacket from the amazing new brand…

PRITCHVivacity Jacket (Pritch London) £2003.60, Grey Scenic Print Maxi Skirt £20.00 (River Island), Yellow Neon Strap High Heel Sandals £70.00 (River Island), Ashiana Box Chain Bracelet with Cord £18.00 (ASOS) & White Single Pocket 3/4 Roll Sleeve Shirt £16.99 (New Look).

I am seriously in LOVE with this jacket, it may be quite pricey, but that is because of the amazing quality! Pritch’s leather is the same quality as top brands like Chanel! It also has REMOVABLE sleeves. Yes, REMOVABLE. That means you can wear it in the cold winter months, and still make look amazing in summer! It also means it can look less fierce when you want to tone down. Just whip them sleeves off! I love the jacket with this skirt, it looks really sophisticated, yet edgy. I am all about colour, so adding the touches of neon, completes the look for me. I could also imagine wearing this as a casual jacket, for perhaps walking around, but still looking chic of course. I really do hope that I can save enough up for it!

2 Outfits for £50.00

By March 7, 2013 Fashion

I saw on ‘Super Scrimpers’ on Channel 4 – a show about saving money – a bit where they were trying to create 3 looks for £50.00. Annoyingly, in the end they meant 3 outfits, each costing £50.00 which is quite easy, but why is it so hard to create 3 with just £50.00? Well, I suppose it’s hard, so I’ve done just 2 Outfits this time. Unfortunately, we don’t have Primark online 🙁 But, I think 2 Outfits is pretty good? Yeah?

Pink Single Pocket Shirt £16.99, 34in Denim Blue Skinny Jeans £7.00 & Wide Fit Black Stud Tab Slipper Shoes £7.00 (All from New Look).

50outfit1Misumi Black Open Stitch Sequin Knitted Jumper £7.00 & Green Triangle Stud Earrings £2.99 (Both from New Look).

This look is so on trend! Mix a simple and basic jumper with a pop of colour like these cute neon studs! Perfect with the shoes! Also, the pale pink in the shirt add a subtle girly feel to the outfit.

50outfit2Black Carpet Print T-Shirt £4.00 & Gold and Black Enamel Smudge Cross Earrings £2.99 (Both from New Look).

This look is also on trend. Add simple ‘rock chic’ with a pair of crosses, and you will look awesome! The studded detailing on the shoes will also pull the outfit together, and all you’ll need then will be some red lippy!

50totDah dah! Amazing! 2 Outfits for UNDER £50.00! I know it’s all from New Look, but surely it’s a bargain no matter what? You could even mix and match both looks, like adding the jumper to the t-shirt, and swapping around the earrings. Anything you like will work! Also before I go, perhaps you might want to do something for me? Yeah?companynomieesCLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR ME! Use the URL: http://www.tollydollyposhfashion.com

Would you buy these outfits? Have you ever bought 2 Outfits for under £50? Have you voted for me yet? Make sure to tell me in the comments!

Ye’ Olden Times: Model in The Making

By March 5, 2013 Fashion, My Style

A few weeks ago I did a post on my first Clothes Show Live, with a few old pictures of me. Well, I went to check my emails and there was an email from my sister saying ‘Sorry Tolly, you never stood a chance, you were always destined to be in-front of the camera!’. And I thought, what?! I then looked and found that there were a few attachments, and I saw the pictures of me when I was about 5 or 6, when me and my sister did a photoshoot in our village. I was her little ‘Model in The Making’. So here they are…

Tolly Dolly 010 Tolly Dolly 12 Tolly Dolly 15 Tolly Dolly 022These pictures make me laugh so much. They’re so cute (If I do say so myself), but so weird at the same time. Just look at that one with the mobile phone, what was I doing with my chin and nose?! The weirdest thing is that I was called Tolly Dolly even then, because the file name was ‘Tolly Dolly’ and my sister hadn’t changed them. Weird. Haha. I wouldn’t really want to be a model unless it was really good pay. I don’t like the fuss of the modelling world. But, you know I wouldn’t mind trying it out again…

S/S 13 Trend Guide: Part 1

By February 26, 2013 Fashion

Bonjour! I haven’t blogged too much about the latest fashion-y things lately, which means I have a LOT of stuff to cover. Included in this are the S/S Trends. I thought I would get it all sorted with and do a ‘Trend Guide’. I need to do it in 2 parts due to the fact that there is so much to talk about! This ‘Guide’ is not going to include pictures from the catwalk, because we can’t buy that stuff! Well, I am sure most of us can’t afford it! So, I have created my own High-Street one, for you to lust and get inspiration from! I have also thrown in a Trend which I think is going to become BIG this year!

trendguide1 White Scuba Sleeveless Prom Dress £60.00 (River Island), Organza Insert Calf Skirt £48.00 (Topshop), White Asymetric Jumper £39.00 (Miss Selfridge), White Denim Boyfriend Shorts £14.99 (Newlook), SONIC Pointed Heels £32.00 (ASOS), Peace Sign Skinny Waist Belt £8.00 (ASOS) & Premium Jewelled Bib Necklace £40.00 (ASOS).

This might be quite an obvious trend to everyone, but I knew I had to include it because it is quite hard to get right. You can either make it too boring or too OTT. Here are 3 tips for making it work…. 1 – Add Neon Accessories for a Modern Look, 2 – Add Gold & Black Accessories for a Chic Look & 3 – Add Stripes & Bold Prints to spice the white up!

trendguide2Knitted Spot Stripe Crop Jumper £32.00 (Topshop), Stripe Ponte T-Shirt £28.00 (Oasis), Red and Blue Stripe Square Rucksack £55.00 (Lazy Oaf), Jacket £29.00 (H&M) & House of Holland for Pretty Polly Pink Stripe Socks £5.50 (ASOS).

I love stripes! You can probably see my stripey top in my banner, and I seriously, over wear it. Stripes go with so many things, and just adds a nice preppy feel to any look. Add this blazer over a floral dress, and these cute socks to a skater skirt.

trendguide3Nude Beaded Body Maxi Dress £89.00, Nude Extreme Sleeve Kaftan Top £39.00, Nude Stud Skater Skirt £39.00, Nude Stud Hardcase £22.00 & Splash Nude Peep Court £39.00 (All from Miss Selfridge).

By this, I mean, Nude. Yes, if you’re wearing something which makes you look ‘nearly naked’, you’re in trend! I love Miss Selfridge for things like this! They have such cute, flirty stuff, which I love! I especially like the ‘Extreme Sleeve Kaftan’ which would look great with floaty white canvas trousers.trendguide4Small Glitter Hair Bow £3.00 (Crown & Glory), Pastel Glitter Bow Waist Belt £8.00 (ASOS), Moschino Cheap & Chic Sequin Heart Gloves £38.00 (ASOS), Ciate Sequined Limited Edition Manicure in Super Duper £14.00 (ASOS), Foldover Sequin Clutch Bag £19.50 (ASOS) & ALL THAT JAZZ Glitter Ankle Boots £24.50 (ASOS).

I want everything from Crown & Glory. I mean, I know I could DIY some myself, but when you’re busy, and want it done quickly, they are the people to go to! I love the things they have, they’re all so fun, and bright! With this trend it is so easy to get right! Mix it with prints and flirty colours to rock it! I am not a fan of ‘buying it for it’s label’, but for a Moschino pair of something, £38 is pretty good! I really do see this trend becoming big!

I will probably be back next week with the final Part 2, so ‘stay tuned’!

Shine On Award

By February 25, 2013 Fashion, My Style

I was recently awarded the ‘Shine On’ award by Orla at The Cool Customer. It is similar to the Liebster Award which I have also received, so here is my post! Thank you so much Orla! First up are the questions which I need to answer!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?: I see myself hopefully, on the FROW of all the main fashion shows 🙂 Haha. I really do hope I will be! I also see myself at a fashion college, preferably Central Saint Martins (London) or Parsons New School of Design (New York).

What was the last thing you watched, ate and read?: Watched: Jonathan Ross Show, but only half of it. Ate: Shrimps & Bananas. Read: Orla’s post on the Shine On awards 🙂

What are your views and opinions on Feminism?:I don’t really have any views on it, I don’t really powerfully believe in it in anyway, and to be honest I think quite a few bloggers say they believe in Feminism just because they see their favourite blogger believing in it. So, there you go.

If you had to choose one designer or a shop to dress you forever, who would you choose and why?:I would choose… Mary Katrantzou (is that how you spell it?) because I know that she would dress in me in either bold prints or in bold cuts, and that’s what I love! (Image from Pinterest).

What inspired you to begin blogging?:My dream to become a Fashion Designer did. If I want to get to that dream, I need to begin somewhere, right? Through blogging I have been able to start getting closer to it.

What’s your favourite piece of clothing in your wardrobe?:My Saint James stripey top! I seriously can’t live without it! It goes with everything and is perfect for all seasons.

What was the best adventure you ever had?:So far, it has been moving to France. It was very exciting but at the same time, super nerve racking!

Favourite quote ever, and why?:”Even if happiness forgets you a bit never completely forget about it.” We have had this in our house either on a wall, or painted on a piece of furniture, for like, ever. It makes me smile, and always tells me that no matter what, there is always a silver lining to everything.

Most embarrasing moment ever?: Probably when I was told that I was about to walk into a lamp post, but walked into it anyway. That was quite funny. Haha.

Period in history you would most like to visit for a day?:The day of the moon landing. That day must have been amazing. We haven’t really had anything like that yet, except from the internet. Come on NASA, when are you off to Mars?

I nominate:Ellie, Zoe, Anna, Lucy & Lucy A.

shineon

I would love if you could answer these 10 questions and then answer them on your blog. Then nominate 5 other bloggers and notify them, and ask them 10 different questions!

1 – Blusher or Bronzer?
2 – Honey or Chocolate?
3 – David Beckham or Josh Hutcherson?
4 – Vivienne Westwood or Coco Chanel?
5 – Fish fingers or Sushi?
6 – Name a film that makes your cry.
7 – Would you climb a mountain or shave your hair off for charity?
8 – If you had to wear one item of clothing for a whole year, what would it be and why?
9 – If you had to go and live with one Fashion Designer, who would it be?
10 – What would you make if you were given: A plastic bag, a pair of curtains, a sofa cover, a pair of scissors and tape?

Thank you so much Orla for nominating me! I hope the people who I nominate are very grateful and do the post! Merci!

How To Grow Your Hair Longer

By February 24, 2013 Beauty, My Style

I saw this post on a blog recently, and thought, hey this is a good idea! I have long hair but I did have a chop a few years ago, and I found certain things kept my hair growing back! So, I thought I would share my tips! I hope you enjoy this post, and if you have any tips, make sure to leave a comment with them! (Sorry about the scraggy ends!)

photo 1Cut your hair! Don’t worry about going and having a trim! You’re hair won’t grow if it is in a bad condition. So, get those split ends out of here! Just ask your hairdresser for about half an inch off and it won’t matter at all! If you leave it to just turn into a ball of mess then it won’t grow! Remember, an INCH doesn’t make a difference!

Know your hair type! If you don’t know how sensitive your hair is, then you don’t how quickly it will grow! Here is my mini guide:

  • Sensitive: Thin and static hair (like mine) can get tangled easily, it can also dry out quickly and become oily more quickly! Make sure you get the right shampoos & conditioners. I like to use Herbal Essences, but as I am in France, I am using ‘DOP’ at the moment.
  • Normal: Hair which has some depth to it, and has more volume and can be shaped more easily. If you have Normal hair you should have well moisturised hair, so use light shampoos/conditioners so you don’t over power your hair.
  • Thick: Hair which tangles a lot and is hard to shape. This can become oily quickly and you should use heavy treatments like Hair Masks to keep your hair in check.
  • Oily: Hair which is prone to become greasy in certain areas like the crown and neck. You shouldn’t use too much product in your hair, but use normal shampoos and perhaps even try cold water to make the oils die down more.

photo 2Have the right products! Use my guide above to work out what sort of products you need. I use Hair Oil to tame any knots I get, and my Tangle Teezer (click for the review here) to help make my hair tangle free without hurting my scalp. I think Tangle Teezers would work for Sensitive and Normal hair, as with Thick hair it will only make your hair look smoother, and with Oily hair it will make your hair look even more oily.

Heat or No Heat, it is your choice! It is all your choice whether you use heat products (Straightners, Curlers & Hair dryer). It really depends how quickly you want to grow your hair, or what type of hair you have. I don’t use heat because it makes my hair even more static, and my hair is straight anyway. If you have Thick hair which doesn’t dry quickly, I would recommend drying it but not adding any more heat. It isn’t just your full head of hair that gets effected by heat, it’s your roots which are the parts which do the growing! Your scalp can get burnt which can harm your roots!

Charity Shop, ASOS & British Haul!

By February 23, 2013 Fashion, My Style

Bonjour again! I was going to do a video to this post but I’m too cold! And, the lighting today has been terrible, so I didn’t! Most of you will know that Papa Posh just got back from the UK on a short trip back, and he brought me back some goodies! A long with that I have also had a few purchases as well, so I thought I would put them altogether and do a Haul for you! Some of things you can get, and some of things you can’t but hey ho, it makes a good post! (Sorry about bad pictures, only on the iPhone today!)

photo 1From L to R: Pink Faux Snakeskin Bag (Charity Shop), Pleated Midi Skirt £6.00 (ASOS – Out of stock), Kenzo Top (Charity Shop), Dolce & Gabanna Top (Charity Shop), Converse Top (Charity Shop), Shrimps & Bananas (Poundland), Fizzy Strawberry Belts (Poundland), Strawberry Pencils (Poundland), Converse Style Shoes – on top of box – 10 euros (Charity Shop), Basketball Shoes £7.99 (H&M). It’s been so long since I went back to the UK!photo 3photo 2 (2)I think my mum said this was only one euro, but I can’t be sure! It’s a really nice size, and I think if I ever get an iPad, this would be perfect!photo 1 (2)Yes! I got some designer clothes! I think these were about 5 euros each (BARGAIN ALERT). At first I looked at the Kenzo – yes KENZO – one, and thought it was gross but with my midi skirt – Post coming soon! – I think it will look really good, as well as the D&G top which is a little too big, but I think it will still look good with a white cami underneath.photo 4I am so excited to start reading this month’s issue! It’s so pretty and colourful! I always look forward to them!

Sorry there are no pictures of the shoes! I accidently deleted it at first, and then I forgot to take a picture the second time! 😛 Anyway, I hope you like this, and be sure to read it over and over again, because I am telling you now, I am not going to be spending after this Haul!

What have you bought recently? Have you bought anything similar to these? Make sure to tell me in a comment below!
