Olympic Fashion: Closing Ceremony

By August 13, 2012 Fashion

Yesterday we had to say farewell to the London Olympics and hello to the Rio Olympics, in a spectacular Closing Ceremony, it really did make you feel sad that it is all over (except from the Paralympics that is!). So this post is about a few things that I wanted to talk about, and see what you thought about. First, I would like to say well done to Es Devlin who was the costume designer for the ceremonies, because she did a really good job!

(From Left to Right) Lily Cole, Stella Tennant, Karen Elson, Kate Moss, Lily Donaldson, Naomi Campbell, Georgia May Jagger, Jourdan Dunn & David Gandy.

The picture above shoes the 9 models which strut their stuff last night. I must say, I absolutely love some of the dresses! I especially love Lily Donaldson (Wearing Vivienne Westwood!) and Jourdan Dunn’s dresses because they are gorgeous! It’s a shame they didn’t have more time to shine. Here’s some more pictures…. Next up I would like to talk about Jessie J. Now, I don’t mind her, I have her CD, and I quite like most of her songs, and I also quite like her wacky style. BUT. ‘BUTT’. I am sorry but what she wore last night, was terrible. It showed her off a bit too much, and it just wasn’t classy in anyway. I am so glad that those models were there, she needs that inspiration! I think the worst thing was, that she wore 2 bodysuits that were both ‘nude’!

Lastly but definitely not least… The Spice Girls! They were brilliant, but it must have been very strange to be performing again, and especially in one of the biggest events yet!

I think Scary Spice worked the nude bodysuit a lot better than Jessie J this time!

I love Victoria’s look. It is very glamorous, and I love her hair! I think she looks great for her age, and I think she deserves a big thumbs up!

So, that’s it! I would love to know what you think about the ceremony, and I would love to know if you agree with what I have said!

Yes, this Ted Baker bag is a great British bag. It is quite cheap for a Ted Baker bag, and it is super cute! I have one myself, but not in the GB style, so I do recommend it. You can buy it at this price below, at ASOS.com!
