nail art trend

One of my favourite YouTube subscriptions is FleurDeForce, i.e Fleur! She does Beauty & Fashion posts, including Hauls, Reviews and Tutorials! Recently, I watched her tutorial on a cute nail art look using tiny little hearts, and I just knew I had to try it out! As you will know from my very recent post (Nail Art Brush DIY), I am beginning to love the craze! So, I decided to try it out, and it took me ages! I still haven’t mastered it, but I think for a first try, it’s pretty good…?

As you can see I didn’t really let the different colours dry, so some of them are blended to gether, but as I said, this is my first attempt! Fleur said to use a toothpick/BBQ Skewer to create 2 little dots, then bring them together with another small bit of paint. I did it quite well on my left hand, but I just couldn’t do it good enough on my right! I did manage to do the thumb, but I had to leave it at that, because, seriously, my arm was going to fall off! I really like the finish of my right hand though. Especially the ring finger, which I added a few small dots too 🙂 Find the full tutorial on Fleur’s Channel here.

 QUICK NOTE: If you see a difference in editing of the pictures, it is because I am starting to use Photoshop to use them, as I have just found out how to use ‘Curves & Levels’. I was requested to do a nail art tutorial, so I thought I would use some nice new polishes I got recently, and do Colourful French Tips!

The colour polishes I used were Bourjois, and they have both got amazing brushes! With the blue, I only had to do one coat, because the brush would fit the nail to size. The pink was really easy to French Tips with because it had a good angle, instead of a normal brush, which really doesn’t work well with shaky hands!

The Base Coat I used was also a Nail Thickener, but it is recommended for a Base Coat.

This outfit is for those, who like a fresh summery look, to brighten up their lives! This style is very flowing, and quite basic. This look may not be in trend, but maybe it can make you keep the summery feel, as it looks like this glorious weather, will be coming to an end, next week!

After seeing the cutepolish tutorial on Chevron Nail Art, I came up with an idea! In my ‘Art Room’, as we call it, there are tones of stickers, and scrapbook things, so I delved into a box, and found some funky stickers. If you want to know what I did with them, look below…

If you haven’t seen ‘cutepolish‘ on YouTube already, you must. There are loads of videos for nail art, and they are all so good. This video, I especially liked because you don’t have to go out and buy nail art tools. I tried it out, and found it quite hard, so maybe you guys could try it out, and see how you get on with it.
