Fast Food Fashion: A Side of Fries*

By May 13, 2015 My Style

If you were here on my blog fairly recently, then you’ll know that I have started a mini series of fast food fashion inspired outfits! Last year I did a post on a few of my fast food fashion purchases, so I’m finally styling them up! This is part 2, so make sure you catch up with part 1, here!

🍟 WHAT I WORE: Fryday T-Shirt (Adolescent Clothing)* // Fries Necklace (Chelsea Doll – Now closed)* // Tulle Skirts (Oxfam) // Shorts (Jumble Sale) // Fries Socks (Kylie @ M&Co)* // Leopard Slap-On Watch (Slappie)* // Jelly Shoes (Supermarket) 🍟

So this outfit is all about the fries… or chips, whatever you want to call it! I’m actually pretty happy with it too! It’s a lot more fun and colourful, don’t you think? Anyway, I knew immediately I needed this Adolescent Clothing t-shirt… it’s such a same this post wasn’t up on a Friday… I mean, FRYDAY? Duhh! 🍟

In my opinion tulle skirts go perfectly with oversized tops. They’re that little bit of something special that make your outfit look like you actually made an effort to get dressed. Plus, if you wear shorts underneath like me, then if you get fed up of them, you can whip them off and totally change your outfit! Yay!

In terms of accessorising and pulling the fast food outfit together, I went for my awesome fries necklace. I think because I never usually wear red, I tend to leave this one hanging up, but now I’ve styled it like this, I kinda’ like it! Unfortunately I’m not sure you guys can actually purchase this anywhere online… but you can take a good look at it now… haha! Sorry… 🍟

Can we also talk swings? I knew I had to do these pictures at the park, and believe it or not (I literally had no idea until I edited these pictures) but the swings actually had matching red and yellow. How awesome is that? Matchy matchy.

And finally shoes… and a watch! I went for my nifty pair of supermarket jelly shoes because why not? They’re honestly the cheapest, most durable and comfortable pair of shoes I own. I honestly don’t care that people look at me funny for wearing beach shoes because they just don’t understand the comfort! They also look great with 🍟 chip 🍟 socks, so I’m not complaining!

For my watch, I’m wearing my new Slappie watch. It is in fact a slap-on watch. It’s super comfortable, it looks adorable and it even has an interchangeable watch face function so you can suit your watch to your mood. Pretty cool! I really like it, and the monochrome print is so me. What do you think?

How To Style Jeans And A Top | Outfit Grids

By February 15, 2015 General

So the weather deceived me. It was all sunny and “You can just wear a jacket today Tolly”, and now it’s gloomy and rainy, which means I couldn’t take any outfit pictures, boo! Knowing my luck it will get sunny again just as I pop this up, but oh well! Instead, I’ve decided to do a few outfits in a slightly different way. You may have seen these ‘outfit grid’ Instagram snaps, or those ‘flat lay outfits’ before, so today I’m gonna’ give that a go! This is a few ideas on how to style jeans and a top! Sorry if these are a bit too summery for your liking, I’m just feeling colourful so I needed to express it! Roll on the sunshine!

Mom Jeans (Jumble Sale) // Whatever Top (Adolescent Clothing)* // Faux Fur Backpack (George at ASDA) // Vagabond Dioon (Mastershoe)* // Blue Floral Sunglasses (ASOS)

The first outfit is one I made up just before falling asleep… just like most of my ideas (darn it!). I love the whole preppy kinda’ thing, so this is the perfect casual jean + top combo’ for me. Soft grays, whites and pastel blues compliment each other so nicely, and inject that hint of colour. I’d say this is the perfect way to experiment with your wardrobe if you like a comfy and minimal look. Statement tops are also a perfect way to inject a bit of fun!

Mom Jeans (Jumble Sale) // Whatever Top (Adolescent Clothing)* // Pink Tweed Jacket (Jumble Sale) // Metallic Lace Up Flats (New Look)* // Novelty Donut Clutch (New Look) // Blue Floral Sunglasses (ASOS)

I think a jacket can really pull together and outfit and my pink tweed jacket is the one for me! I love how the colours all merge together and add to the casual combo, but the metallic of the shoes add that something special. I can also announce that I am indeed the proud owner of that donut clutch from New Look. How cool is it though? SO. COOL.

Mom Jeans (Jumble Sale) // Whatever Top (Adolescent Clothing)* // Pastel Purple Faux Fur Gilet (Choies) // Johnny Loves Rosie Floral Headband (ASOS) // Vagabond Dioon (Mastershoe)* // Clear Sunglasses (Topshop)

Last but certainly not least, this purple and pastel number. I love this! I definitely need to wear this as the weather gets better. The faux fur adds a twist of texture, and the floral headband is super cute! I’ve had my eye on it for ages, so when it went down to less than £5, I couldn’t resist! My favourite pair of sunglasses make an appearance too; they’re perfect with any outfit because they’re clear, meaning they don’t not match anything!

So there we have it! What did you think? Let me know if you want me to do anymore posts like this, as it was quite fun to put together! I’d be happy to 🙂 Just to let you know that my next post will be the start of my 2nd ever London Fashion Blog Week as I’m super busy next week, so they’ll be going up every other day for you! Speak soon 🙂

Changing With The Seasons #1 – January, Winter*

Yay! The series has really started off. I can officially confirm that you guys voted for… the blue skater skirt! *applauds* I was actually really happy that you did, because I have fallen in love with it over the past few months. If you are confused as to what ‘Changing With The Seasons’ is all about, then check out the previous blog post. Exciting!

To add to the whole ‘seasonal’ part of this, I genuinely was freezing whilst taking these photos… that’s why there aren’t that many to look at (sorry!). But, that doesn’t take away the charm of the outfit. As I mentioned in one of my recent YouTube videos, I’ve been loving 90s style right now, so statement oversized jumpers have been ma’ thang’. I love them! I’ve paired up with Adolescent Clothing, which meant they sent me over their super cool Photo Bomb jumper. I first spotted it on ASOS, and adore it. It’s made me fall in love with primary colours, and even white.

The skirt really complements the jumper, especially when you nicely tuck it in. I added my super crazy Dalmatian coat on top for an added layer… I really am a rebel! Mixing black and navy… who knew it could look okay? Monochrome really is a fail safe option for any outfit.

In terms of accessories, I decided to play it simple. I’ve been tossing and turning over getting some Vagabonds for ages, and I finally caved and got them. I used to have a really similar ASOS pair, but these are definitely something different. They’ve got quite a high heel, but they’re balanced out with a platform for comfort. I know white isn’t the obvious choice to go for, but I love how they look. What do you think?

Another new piece into my wardrobe is my adorable pineapple necklace. I have been wanting one from And Mary for ages and I finally got the chance! It’s beautiful. The detail is incredible and I can’t stop staring at it when it’s around my neck. Ooh ooh! Who can spot my french manicure? I did it myself and I’m quite chuffed. Cute and simple, just how I like it!

To top it off, I thought I would treat you to a video! I’m going to do one per ‘CWTS’ post, and I hope you enjoy them. Just the outfit in video form so you can really see how it goes together. Let me know what you think and don’t forget to head over to my channel and subscribe 🙂
