Tangle Teezer Review: Juicy Fruits

By July 31, 2012 Fashion

Recently I got a Tangle Teezer. I wanted to just try it out, and see what difference it makes. I looked up ‘Tangle Teezer Review’ and there didn’t seem to be many, so I have decided to do one.

Most people might think that this is quite a childish item to purchase, but actually it’s not. They do have kids ones, but this one is for anyone. There are 6 different colours in the Juicy Fruits collection, and they are all very bright. The one I have is bright Purple, and very bright Orange. It is easy to hold, but even easier to drop, as there is a matte, and shiny surface to it. The Orange brush part, is very good. The bristles are very flexible meaning they don’t catch on the hair. It works extremely well with wet hair, so you can brush your hair back, and leave it to naturally dry. With dry hair it is quite good, but it does tug like any brush would. It is good for doing pony tails, as it doesn’t make any bumps. I actually got mine for free from my salon, so if I did have to pay, I wouldn’t of, because it doesn’t get rid of big knots and tangles, which is what I get. For general use though, it is good. I wouldn’t recommend this to people with greasy or oily hair, because it makes that really clear. For people with thin, silky hair it is good for making your hair smoother, and straighter. Now the ratings…

Ease of Use: 6.5/10 – Easy to drop, and does tug.

Size & Travel Use: 7/10 – Quite small, but not small enough for your handbag!

Look & Style: 8/10 – Funky & New.

Overall: 7.5/10 – Quite pricey, but worth a try.

Yves Saint Laurent Branding Change: Bad reviews

By July 26, 2012 Fashion

The other day I did a post saying that Yves Saint Laurent was changing to ‘Saint Laurent Paris’, and I thought it was quite annoying because it meant Yves Saint Laurent was losing it’s value. Well, if you didn’t it, here’s your chance > YSL Branding Change.

If you have read the post, then you will know what I’m talking about. By bad reviews, I mean comments from Facebook. People on the social media site, have been posting comments on the YSL page, saying things like, ‘It’s doesn’t have anything unique to it’ or ‘The new logo doesn’t represent the brand’. I quite agree. If you have been running a brand for that long, quite a dramatic change like that can be quite damaging, especially for your buyers – in my opinion.

Others may think differently, and that is the whole point in this post. I would like to here your views, and it would be great if you left a tweet (@TollyDollyPosh) or a comment, or even message me via my Contact page!

Yves Saint Laurent becomes Saint Laurent Paris: New Branding & Logo

By July 24, 2012 Fashion

I am sooo very afraid to say that Yves Saint Laurent will be no longer 🙁 Well, as a name that is. Yves Saint Laurent is re-branding, and changing it’s name to ‘Saint Laurent Paris’. The reason I am sooo very afraid to say it, is because I absolutely love going into my mum’s drawers and putting on some ‘Yves Saint Laurent’ lipgloss. It makes me feel all grown up and special, but now it’s just Saint Laurent. Not so special. Take a look at there new branding here…

If my mum buys any new lipgloss now, I won’t be feeling very special any more 🙁 Farewell ‘Yves Saint Laurent’, bonjour ‘Saint Laurent Paris’!

I found this new label via Coco’s Tea Party, and I love it! It is really fresh and new, but it is quite pricey, so that does put a damper on it. Take a look for yourself at My Wardrobe.com!

Top 1, Dress 2, Dress 3.

I absolutely love them, but I would only ever buy them if I knew I could spend that amount of money! Haha!
