When wondering through the world of Tumblr, I came across the wonderful people of, JUCO, also known as Julia Galdo and Cody Cloud. I instantly fell in love. Unfortunately ‘JUCO’ are very busy at the moment so couldn’t answer any questions for me, but I thought I would share their wonderful work with you anyway in this ‘fashion photography’ post. PLUS, you can get a discount for the Photography Show at the Birmingham NEC for just simply reading this post… so read on down if you want in! (Images via JUCO)

Julia & Cody use colour in such a beautiful way and it just gives me a buzz when I see their shots. It actually makes me want to be the man on the Skittles advert where everything he touches turns into sweeties. It makes me feel so happy and just want to live in the sunshine all day everyday. JUCO have worked with people like Apple, Nike, Nylon, Teen Vogue and many more awesome people, and it makes me so motivated to try and find that one special thing in my fashion design that people will like and enjoy, just like people have with the talent that is JUCO.

fashion photography JUCO photographers photography show birmingham 2014 discount codeThe way they bring out the character in literally everything is so beautiful. They can do so so many styles and I love how you can see they experiment with their personal things (nudity warning if you take a look!) and really dive into places they feel passionate about. Ahhh, how cool would it be to like make everything just look so utterly perfect with the click of a button? That is why I think things like the Photography Show in Birmingham next month are such great opportunities. You can go and not only learn new tips and tricks, but just being inspired by the little things. Photography is such a great way of capturing life in a more artistic way, and their is never a bad picture because whatever you take will say something. I just love looking through all of their work, it’s all so darn pretty! Like on Despicable Me… ‘IT’S SO PRETTY!’ Hahah, aww. They really do know to capture the spirit of the shot though don’t they? Yup! That Factory magazine cover has given me my new favourite quote, ‘Dressed to Express’. Too much nice-ness I cannot handle it. TOO MUCH GUYS. IT’S TOO MUCH.

They are honestly just so pleasing to the eye. I really want to do something like this for my blog one day, it would be just so fun to create! Julia & Cody hand painted it all themselves which makes it 100 x cooler on the cool scale. I would totally ask JUCO to shoot all my fashion campaigns, hands down, because they are just the kinda’ thing I like. (I would say period now but I’m not American and it kinda’ makes me think of… well you know… so yah’. #AwkwardTurtle)

Don’t forget the code FUTHND142014 because you will save your self quite a few pennies especially if you are wanting to go in a group! GO GO GO! Go for me because I can’t and Rankin is there and that’s the SECOND time I have missed being able to see him. WHY. NOT FAIR. BOOO!(BIES)

(This post is not sponsored by The Photography Show or JUCO. I had the opportunity to get free tickets for a small feature which I had to give away as I will not be able to attend. I was happy to give you guys a discount though!)

Where Is It From? Wholesale Items

By February 4, 2014 Fashion

I know I know, where have I been? I still have chicken pox… well, it’s kinda’ going but really really slowly. I’m finding it hard to blog posts because I want to use my lens but I don’t have it with me yet so that’s why there has been a HUGE gap between posts. I will make it up to you though, I promise! 😉 A week or so a go, I asked on Twitter if you would like a post on telling whether items are wholesale, or like… really cheap things from China… and you said you wanted it so… here you go!

wholesale fashion buying

What is Wholesale? Wholesale is where a company or person sells a vast quantity of produce for another company to sell. It’s like me buying hundreds of tote bags from a shop and selling them to you guys, I would be buying them in a wholesale quantity. The sort of wholesale I’m talking about today is online because obviously in store is quite a bit harder to notice!

What are the negatives of Wholesale fashion? When you buy something which is from a wholesale retailer (a shop which has bought from a wholesale company), it’s usually not such a great quality, it’s usually made from the cheapest materials, and you’re probably buying something which hundreds of other people have, so you’re not buying something that unique.

What are the positives of Wholesale fashion? The good things are obviously the price. You can get something which you might have seen in Topshop, which looks really similar and will probably last quite well, but just isn’t as great quality.

wholesale fashion buying bernard lafond ever ours

How to tell if you are buying items which are from Wholesale? With clothing it is really easy to tell whether you are buying wholesale. There are certain things to look out for.

1 – Clothes hanger: Seems weird, but if you see a wooden clothes hanger on an item which says ‘Bernard Lafond’ you know it’s wholesale. Bernard Lafond is not a cool chic designer, it’s a wholesale brand, it’s your choice to buy from the brand selling it of course, but just tell yourself that it’s only from a cheap place originally.
2 – Backgrounds: If you go on a store and all the backgrounds to the items are different, and all the models seem to be completely different, then it’s most probably because they are using the wholesale images.
3 – Style & Varieties: Some online stores might have quite a similar variety of items. For example, the necklaces might all be quite similar styles, and there might be lots of different colour versions of each style. This is usually a tell tale sign of wholesale items.

Should I still buy these pieces then? I don’t think that you should stop buying from these places necessarily, but it’s not like you are getting anything that special. I think it’s best to shop around and support local shops rather than spend your money on cheap things. Although I say this… I am a sucker for a cheap bargain, so I guess it’s up to you!

Pre-Fall Collection 2014 Review

By January 24, 2014 Fashion

Now, I’m not someone who likes to think ahead too much, but when it comes to Fashion… I like to make a bit of room for the future, so I thought, why not do a Pre-Fall Collection 2014 Review? Oh yes, I’m going past summer, and talking about a few of my favourite collections of what I have seen so far, similar to this post! If you don’t know when/what Pre-Fall is, it’s basically that gap between Summer & Autumn/Winter, the time when it’s not too hot, but it’s not too cold…. (All images via Vogue.co.uk)

BCBG Max Azria Pre-Fall Collection 2014BCBG Max Azria: As I have said many times before, I love structure, so this collection to me, is honestly, beautiful. I love how the pieces just sit perfectly, and they all have different dynamics. I also adore the A/W florals, which are so gorgeous. I love the palette of blue and grey. I also love the use of faux fur in the same colour, it just looks so perfect and soft. Plus, holographic shoes? Perfection. Rating: 100/10 😉

DKNY Pre-Fall Collection 2014 2DKNY Pre-Fall Collection 2014DKNY: Considering I’m not the most minimalistic person ever, I actually quite like this collection! I love the colour blocking, especially with the white and blue, it just looks so sleek and chic (that rhymes). I also LOVE the ‘Pizza or Caviar’ top and necklace, and the ‘New York’ necklace too. For the tan and blue ‘section’, I’m not as much as a fan, but I do like the pleated skirt and the little bit of pale pink. So yeah, I think the collection is quite nice, and I give this a… Rating: 8/10

Erdem Pre-Fall Collection 14Erdem: I would probably say this is one of the most ‘A/Winter-y’ collections out of the bunch, but I like it! A lot! I love the use of metallics, it reminds me of puddles on roads… which I think is very clever. I also love the use of lace, I think it looks so sophisticated. I’m a big fan of blouses at the moment, and this one has lots of them! I’m a particular fan of the dark floral dress on the right there, I think it looks stunning and I like how it is quite sheer. I wasn’t that big a fan of the red part of the collection though. Rating: 9/10

Fendi Pre-Fall Collection 2014Fendi: I. Love. Most. Of. This. Collection. I think the combination of monochrome, pale pink, faux (I believe) fur and deep red, is just perfect! I especially love the stripy jacket with the collar (far left), it just looks so gorgeous and could go with so so so many things! I also love the blue fur and stripy coat, which is just so cool. I have to say Fendi, you’ve done well… except the yellow pieces with the monochrome, which sort of remind me of old office carpet… hmm. Rating: 9/10

House of Holland Pre-Fall Collection 2014House of Holland Pre-Fall Collection 2014House of Holland: Dayum Mr Holland, you have done it good! There’s structure, colour, prints, blouses, faux fur, colour blocking, spots, velvet and a new favourite of mine, patent. Oh yes this collection literally has it all for me. Don’t forget a bit of Hattie Stewart too? Utter awesomeness. I don’t know why, but I really love patent at the moment! The combination of that red fur and the shiny skirt… ooh! I love how it is slightly retro too with the sort of striped school cardigan and the high waisted shorts, and  then the buttoned velvet dress. Such a nice collection and I’d be happy to own all of it! Rating: 10/10

Just Cavalli Pre-Fall Collection 2014Just Cavalli: Oh my, WOW. Yes, please can I have all of it in my wardrobe, please, thank you, oh my, not enough words to describe the beauty, oh wow, okay I will stop now.  *deep breath* I mean, look at those pastel purple hareem trousers, and that yellow, and that dress with the stripes and pom-pom trim, and that black dress, which is like the ultimate LBD *deeper breath than the last deep breath*. But seriously, do you not agree with me how beautiful this collection is? If you don’t well then I am afraid, we are no longer friends (jokes guys, jokes… or am I joking? Hmm…). Rating: 10/10

Misha Nonoo Pre-Fall Collection 2014Misha Nonoo: Other than the models looking rather stiff and doll like, this again is such a lovely collection. It’s got the structure, and the nice colour combinations (blue and white), and a mix of quite summery and autumnal pieces, which I think is definitely needed in a ‘Pre’ fall collection. I love how the blouses and dresses have the mesh parts, I think it looks so cute and a little bit ‘cheeky’ 😉 Haha! They remind me of Victoria Beckham’s collection she did, with the collars. Simple, sleek, and ultra cool. I’ve seen some similar ones on Missguided which look fabulous! Rating: 9.5/10

Rag and Bone Pre-Fall Collection 2014Rag & Bone: This is quite a nice collection, not my usual taste, but I do like some of these pieces. Another gorgeous LBD in this one, plus a gorgeous, I mean gorgeous cape jacket. It’s a very simple collection, and I like the use of the lace and crochet style knit, which adds a bit more character and dimension to it. Rating: 7/10

I’m thinking of doing a menswear version of this as I really want to start doing menswear on ma’ blawg. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Monthly Obsessions: Tumblr, Carrie & Doodles

By January 17, 2014 DIY & Lifestyle, Fashion

I’m back! It’s been so long! I actually feel excited to be writing again! I’m so glad none of you got too upset I was gone 😉 I had a lovely 16 days of chilling with my family and getting lots of baby smiles! I shall not babble on for too long, and tell you how I have been waiting so long to do this post! I’ve been wanting to do a ‘monthly favourites’ sort of post but not things like clothing/products I’ve worn and used, more like things that I have seen and enjoyed looking at… hmm… you’ll get the gist! 😉 (Images from Tumblr/Etsy)

I don’t really count it as a blog because all I did really was outfits, but after that I sort of left Tumblr, and now I’m back, and oh am I glad. I get so much inspiration from browsing and re-blogging people’s posts. I now know what Pastel Grunge is and I have been left quite confused about what Sea Punk is? I like to post weird and wonderfully coloured things, GIFs of Eddie Redmayne, and gorgeous doodles. If you have Tumblr do let me know because I would love to follow you! You can follow me here or click on the button in the sidebar!

monthly obsessions tumblr carrie diaries outfits freya flavell doodles cryybaby etsyFreya Flavell Does Doodles – I actually found Freya on Tumblr, and I’m in love with her doodles! They are so simple, yet so cute and colourful and she should be really proud of her work. I love finding illustrators who are young and obviously love what they are doing. Her drawings also give me inspiration for outfits and my future hair when I can face up to the fact that everybody and their dogs (that is actually true, their was a programme on it) dyes their hair, and that I will probably end up doing a full shabang rather than just dip dye. Talking of dip dye, doesn’t that purple hair on that one illustration look awesome? Make sure you check out Freya here!

I enjoy it so much that I am now up to date with the current season. I have ordered the book too so I’m excited to see how well they have portrayed Carrie. Anna-Sophia Robb was a good pick though, she is a really good actress and I have always been fond of her work. Plus, if you want some outfit ideas, then watch this show… or you could follow my Carrie Diaries Outfit Tumblr! 😉

Whilst searching on Tumblr (surprise surprise), I found Mimi’s store, Cryybaby from Etsy. Being a teen myself (oh my dear waffles (umm) I’m 14 this year!) I love supporting fellow teens, and I love Mimi’s stuff! It’s all so simple, but so cute and pretty darn cheap too! I’m actually going to get a custom necklace made which is pretty cool! Make sure you check out her store! It’s pretty cool!

New Year Blogging Q&A With Let’s See

By December 26, 2013 DIY & Lifestyle, Fashion

Hello everybody! How are you my chums? Did you have a nice Christmas? Today I have a nice relaxed blog post whilst you all browse the Boxing Day sales, with my lovely advertiser, Bas from Let’s See! (If you want to see your blog here, then look at my packages here!) Images from Let’s See

new year blogging let's see photography blog

Will you be changing anything on your blog for the new year? I’m moving to the Netherlands in January to study, so I guess everything will change. I’ll be broke for one, so less money for film. And I’ll have new things to photograph, I’m beginning to think I’ve sucked Cape Town dry.

Have you thought of your blogging resolutions for 2014 yet? Well to continue from the previous answer, my plan is to try and take only one roll of film a month, because of my student budget. I usually just shoot until my finger is raw, sometimes whole rolls in a day. (Developing film is super cheap in South Africa, compared to Europe. Asia was cheap too.) Also I’ve been working a lot these past few years so I’ve never really had to worry too much about expenses. This new resolution means I’ll have to limit myself to only a handful of photos at a time, which will be hard. I think some of the spontaneity will be lost, but also it will be interesting because every click of the shutter will be so much more important…

What’s your favourite thing about the new year? Christmas being over. I hate Christmas. Can someone find a way to successfully incorporate anything “Christmassy” into a summer Christmas? We just use the same traditions, but everything is half hearted because it’s too hot for fake snow and hot chocolate and candy canes and romantic walks in gloved hands and family bonding and general good will at all. Everyone’s too busy sweating and lying by the pool in a bikini to do anything Christmassy. Also, imagine a mall packed with frantic people, sweating. Add tinny Christmas carols. Done.

new year blogging let's see photography blog

Do you stay up late for the big countdown, or just sleep through it all? I’m usually working. This year I’m playing in the band for the Rocky Horror show, we’re doing a late show on New Year’s Eve and then there’s a party.

What would you wear to a New Year celebration? I think people are dressing up, I’m not sure as what. Theatre people go all out when they dress up, so it should be crazy. Although on the last dress-up occasion, the drummer wore eyeliner and thought that was his costume… I haven’t decided what I’ll wear yet.

Will you be taking any festive pictures, and with what camera? My film camera, it’s a lomography LC-wide.

new year blogging let's see photography blog

Where do you like to photograph in the Winter? It’s the middle of summer for me in Cape Town right now, so the beach I suppose. Although, I prefer shooting on the beach in Winter. White sand and grey sky and nobody around, that’s when the fun starts. My favourite film photos happened in the mist on an empty beach in winter.

What’s your favourite piece of Winter clothing? Jerseys. Big patterned thrifted jerseys, layered on top of each other.

New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

By December 22, 2013 Fashion

Hidehidehidehi! (Brownie points to anyone who knows which song that’s from) I have been really bad on the whole ‘real blogging’ kind of thing, with outfit ideas, celebrity style etc, because you guys loved it when I did them, so I’m back with a post for you! I’ve put together a few New Years Eve outfit ideas just in case you need some inspiration! Hope you like it… Just to point out that this will be the last blog post before Christmas Day! I will be back though, but just enjoy this one for now! Don’t forget though, I have a GIVE-AWAY going on to WIN a gorgeous necklace from Punky Pins! Enter it now!

New Years Eve Outfit Ideas cocktail dresses asos clutch new look topshop barely there heels

Cocktail ‘Part-ay’ – This is probably my favourite selection out of the three because they are all so simple, yet they all dip into the ‘elegant’ and ‘statement’ sides of the pool (ooh, nice phrase there 😉 ). I love the Topshop dress because it looks like you are wearing a two piece but…. you’re not (surprise!)! I also love how the ASOS clutch is distressed, I think it makes it look a little bit more expensive, and a bit more ‘edgy’ (I have really gone off that word… eugh). The other dress is a slightly more simple and cheaper option, but it is still as nice as the other in my opinion, the style is also really flattering and ‘great’ for all seasons. Plus, matching heels in the exact same colour? #winnerwinnerchickendinner (#longesthashtagever #ishouldprobablystopnow #yah)

Casual & Cosy – This is the sort of thing I will be wearing on New Year’s Eve. A little bit of sparkle, but casual and cosy (but, I’ll probably end up in my PJs…)! I love the jumper from Boohoo! They do a classic Home Alone one for Christmas, but this is so cool as it is perfect for New Year! I also really like the trousers, they look really comfy and simple and of course would be really good for any A/W occasion. After seeing one of my favourite bloggers (a.k.a Megan) wearing the gold version of the Crown & Glory headband, I now love it! It’s so sparkly and just… amazing! The necklace goes perfectly, and I must say, for under £10.00, that is pretty good? Although I love the cocktail dresses (previous image), this is what I would wear if I was going out on ‘NYE’.

New Years Eve Outfit Ideas sequin skirt fluffy jumper sequin jumpsuit party outfits asos Sequin & Mesh Skirt £125.00 (Topshop), Pink Fluffy Jumper £34.00 (Topshop), Buckle Boots £38.00 (ASOS), Triangle Necklace £6.00 (ASOS), Sequin Jumpsuit £59.99 (New Look), Felt Boater Hat £18.00 (ASOS), Snowflake Socks £4.00 (ASOS) & Snow Scene Socks £4.00 (ASOS)

Sequins & Sparkle – Ohhh. Myyyy. Just look at that skirt… take a moment to appreciate it… and then sob in sadness at the price… it’s so nice! I’m a big fan of fluffy jumpers over sequins because it looks so nice and the textures look perfect against each other. Paired with some buckled boots to make it more casual, and a dainty little necklace… ohhhh. Then, New Look have a blimming amazing jumpsuit, covered in sequins… for under £60.00, which quite frankly is amazing if that is the closest I can get to an Ashish one! I would wear it all day, every day and nobody would be able to stop me! I’ve always wanted a boater hat, and I think this ‘look’ would make it the cutest accessory. Oh, and don’t forget the novelty socks! 😉

Monsters Inc. Sulley Inspired Fashion

By December 14, 2013 Fashion

When browsing the Claire’s site, I found their new ‘Monster’ collection, and then realised, hang on… this is some what like Sulley from Monsters Inc, and here I am now, writing a blog post on Sulley inspired fashion.

Sulley Inspired Fashion Monsters Inc Blue Fur Celebrity Style Miley Cyrus Blue Fur Claire's Monsters Topshop ASOS Scarf Hat//Fluffy Gloves//Phone Sock//Fluffy Jacket//Black & Blue Snood//Sulley Keyring//Sulley Toy

Blue, fur, everywhere, everyday because I love blue fur, just like Sulley, but I would never kill Sulley for his fur because that is inhumane, and everybody loves Sulley… so? First of all, look at this blue style ‘Spirithood’, scarf, hat, gloves all-in-one thingy-ma-bob, how cool?! It’s blue, it has ears, teeth and eyes, I mean come on?! That would be totally awesome in my wardrobe. Moving on to the fluffy gloves from ASOS… oh wow, they look so so so so warm! Imagine them popping out of a pink coat, with nice blue jeans and some boots *sigh*. I believe my phone though, may just look a tad bit better than me if it were to have this awesome phone sock on it… it has eyes… and it’s fluffy! Oh, and what is better than a blue fluffy jacket, exactly like Sulley’s fur (…I might actually be getting a similar one soon…)?! Topshop sometimes, literally have everything that you could imagine. The jacket would look amazing with a brightly coloured snood, and simple black pieces underneath. Talking of snoods, I have included a ‘pretty much Sulley‘ snood for ya’! If only those spots were purple… oh and don’t forget to be totally Sulley-ed out, you need to add a touch of blue to your bag, so why not add a keyring?! Don’t tell me I went overboard, because I added the toy… yes a Sulley toy. It’s cool though! I definitely think I need some blue fur in my wardrobe now though… OMG, imagine blue fur shoes?! Just imagine… *falls back into clouds of blue candyfloss*

I know you guys like these sort of posts, so I hope you liked this one! It’s a bit random I know, but I’m random so… there is really no excuse. By the way, have you entered my give-away? It’s on my Facebook page and you can win a watch… there really is nothing to lose!

Branding & Logos in the Fashion Industry

By December 10, 2013 Fashion

Last night I sat down and watched a programme on discount stores, like TKMaxx or the Bicester Village, and it came across an interesting point. I’ve discussed it before I believe, but I thought I would just go a step further in voicing my opinions.

branding logos fashion industry opinion post fashion

Another reason I am interested in discussing this, is after I saw a tweet from a blogger saying they ‘couldn’t compete with other bloggers because they only wear Primark compared to expensive clothing’. And also after the point on the programme which came up when they let people in the public feel a jumper with the label covered by a sticky note (the people had to give a price for how much they would pay, and when the sticky note was taken off, they had to re-price it. The jumper was a Ralph Lauren one, but without the label showing, the people priced it at about £10, and when the label was shown, they tripled the price and said it was worth £30, all because they saw that one label). I find it quite bizarre that people pay more, just because of the make! I have never bought anything because of it’s label, as they say, never judge a book by it’s cover.

I want to talk about the importance of branding and logos in the fashion industry, but the fact that it shouldn’t determine the price of a piece of clothing. Okay, so Ralph Lauren of course wouldn’t be Ralph Lauren without that little-man-riding-a-horse-playing-polo logo (that rhymes), and Chanel wouldn’t be Chanel without the double C’s, but how does a logo make something ‘more valuable’? Branding and logos now mean more than anything, it’s almost a sign of status. If you wear Ralph Lauren, you show that you have a bit more money than someone else, or if you have a Chanel handbag in your arm, then you can afford to splash out on a few bits of leather worth £1000. To be honest with you, I don’t even like the range of Chanel handbags (ooh, controversial I know!), but I think it’s more about status than anything else as I said. Apparently, if I wear H&M and New Look I am not as ‘cool’ and ‘fashionable’ as a luxury buyer, which of course is totally wrong.

I’m not talking about ‘logo t-shirts’ like the Kenzo tiger, I’m talking about the actual label inside tops (you know the ones you have to cut off anyway because they irritate the back of your neck?). Obviously brands have to market their clothes, they want people to know what somebody else is wearing, easily, which is of course what logos do. My question is though, why are they so important to us? Why are we so bothered about the logo that is on my new skirt? Do I look ‘bovvered’ mate, do I? Look at my face… is my face ‘bovvered’? Face? Bovvered? (Catherine Tate references in a rant… #genius)

branding logos fashion industry opinion post fashion nike jd sports

There are three arguments in my opinion; 1 – Status (no, not the ones that you post on your ‘wall’, but as in £££ status.), 2 – Quality (fabrics etc.), and 3 – ‘Fashion’.
Status – If you are seen with a Mulberry handbag (fake or real), people might think more highly of you (or try and rob you… maybe), and might think that you have a nice job etc etc (of course, you could have got it as a gift or whatever, but this is just for an example).
Quality – A lot of buyers believe that just because it is expensive, means it’s better quality, which of course is true in some cases, but if you watched the programme you  would have seen the fact that outlet stores sometimes only sell ‘outlet only’ pieces, which are cheaper versions, of the actual designer product.
‘Fashion’ – Some people generally think that if a product has one of these logos on it, then it is fashionable, on trend and stylish, and of course the fact that if you’re favourite celebrity is seen wearing that specific designer, you must have it because it’s ‘fashionable’ to them.

Even if you are wearing a false version of a brand’s product, the only reason you bought it to be fair, is because it has the ‘logo‘ on it… right? If you genuinely liked the product, surely you would actually splash the cash for the real deal? The other fact is… just plain and simply… why? What is so super special about a designer piece? I understand if you genuinely love the product, the fabric, the way it looks on you, but if you simply just like it because it has the name on it, and you think it is worth more… why? I really do not understand ‘your’ logic. Just because it says ‘Dior’ on it, doesn’t mean it’s nice… the name might be, but do you actually look at the product? You could probably find something a little bit cheaper which is just as nice, just simply without that label. It’s nice to treat yourself of course, but it’s just a name!

Let me take a celebrity for example… I was shopping in the same shop as Dame Helen Mirren (Insta-pap shot for you here), and she was so miserable, she didn’t even have to say anything and she just didn’t come across nice, and the only reason she is ‘special’ is because she has been in films. She’s like everyone else, we’re all human, like t-shirts are all t-shirts, but with different names on the annoying-neck-irritating labels. When (yes, I just said when, one has to be optimistic these days) I become a fashion designer, I don’t really want to be a ‘designer’. I’d love to be on the catwalks at LFW, but not for being a person who sells £1000 bags just because of the name on them, I want my designs to be available to everyone, and to sell because they are nice. Do you get what I’m saying now? If not I just wasted 1000 words on this post. Great.

Keeping Warm with ARK Clothing*

By December 5, 2013 Fashion

Brrr! It’s a bit cold isn’t it? I have to wear thick tights underneath jeans at the moment! As it is so cold, I thought it would be fitting to do this post about Winter fashion with one of my favourite online shops, ARK Clothing!

Ark Clothing Criminal Damage AX Paris Cheap Monday Winter Warmers Sponsored Blog PostCriminal Damage//AX Paris//Cheap Monday (Brands at ARK Clothing – accessories from other brands on the site!)

When I think about dressing for winter, I think comfortable clothes, layers and pieces which are nice and thick, so that is why I selected the three main items in the image above! The Criminal Damage sweater is really warm and snug, and wearing thick sweatshirts in Winter is one of my favourite things to do! I’m not the biggest fan of slogan tops, but this one is in a versatile colour so could go with lots of different things, and would be perfect for casual wear! The AX Paris dress is my favourite piece! I absolutely love swing dresses at the moment because I think they are so flattering and comfortable, and this one is just perfect for the season! I love how it is quite Burberry-esque with the heart print. I also love how it could be dressed up or down, so to be honest, it is quite a good investment! When it comes down to jeans though, this Cheap Monday pair are my cup of tea! They have that slight worn out look, and look super duper comfy! As styled in the picture, they would look great with boots or perhaps a pair of flats and thick socks (or tights underneath!). With any of these pieces, you could layer them with a big fluffy snood, a pair of boots and a nice dainty necklace – oh, and don’t forget those gloves! Everything looks so cosy and warm!

I really like everything at ARK Clothing at the moment, and some of the brands they have are really nice and have some great bargains! I hope you liked this post and if you did, make sure to leave a comment!

for the love of lucie fashion blog teen blog style bloggers

What inspired you to start your Blog?: I have always loved reading blogs and YouTube videos such as: FleurDeForce and MissBudgetBeauty. So one day I decided to create my little piece of the internet! I also would love to be a make-up artist so another reason was to share my love of beauty and fashion.

Why did you choose Fashion?: I love keeping on top of designer fashion trends, and recreating outfits from high street stores. I really enjoy sharing my outfit ideas and makeup reviews online. It really satisfies me if people find what I write about useful.

What are you top tips on starting a Blog?: Stay organised! Buy notebooks or planners, just anything to stay on top of your posts! Also don’t write posts for views, write what you want to write about (I cant stress this enough!)

What have been your Blogging Targets for this year?: I wanted to balance blogging and school and do regular posting again! I also wanted to reach 50 followers on BlogLovin’ but I am so happy with the amount I have at the moment.

Who are your favourite fellow Bloggers?: I love to read you Tolly! I also love MissBudgetBeauty, A Model Recommends and Madame Gourmand Lifestyle

Where’s your favourite place to grab a bargain and why?: I love Primark, they have just about everything for amazing prices. Whenever I need something usually the first place I will go is Primark to see if they have what I want in (guilty).

What’s your personal style and what do you do to work it?: I wear what I like and I feel confident in it. My style would probably be girly/edgy. I love love love dresses but I also love throwing an oversized jumper over some comfy skinny jeans.
