2013 Is Going To Be A Good Year: FACT.

By November 30, 2012 DIY & Lifestyle, Fashion

The reason I put ‘FACT’ is simple. We have finished another year! A great one also. With the Diamond Jubilee, London 2012, and the end of the recession (some say), 2013 has got a lot to live up to, but I believe it will. Hopefully things will turn out for the best! The film world say so (with the new Hunger Games coming out), the Fashion world say so (with a new year of amazing trends), and so do us food lovers (Chicken Wings he we come! says Vogue Japan….?) Yes, it looks like it will turn out to be a good one, so here is a list of things you can do to make that FACT a reality….

Pictures from: 1: The Girl Who Couldn't Be A Fashionista, 2: The Hunger Games, 3: Highsnobette, 4: Rookie

Pictures from: 5: Metro & 7: Lenka

And, if 2012 is the end of the world, then cram all of this into the space of time we have left! Go on, DO IT! 🙂

A Quick Idea: Recycle & Re-Vamp!

By November 29, 2012 DIY & Lifestyle

This is a really easy and quick thing that I did, like, literallly, just like 5 minutes ago! So, I was thinking of things to do, so I went into my room, and looked in my old school ‘magazine’ desk, and grabbed a few old Company magazines, and remembered and idea I saw on YouTube and decided to it with magazines. So basicly, you just cut out 10 x 10 squares of magazine pages, then fold the corners in, and there you have it! Origami! Yes, so simple, and so quick! Here’s the finished result….

I’m going to stick them on my wall, so they are going to look super cute! You can do them with coloured card etc, and they still look amazing 🙂

Just a cool picture of them with my magazines. You can use any magazine, I just love the funky look of the Company Magazine, and also the texture of the paper 🙂

I know I have been doing a lot of DIY things just recently, but I think it’s just because I love doing it, and I feel that it adds that bit of personality to your room or house 🙂 That’s exactly why I have created the DIY & Lifestyle page, so that you can browse the DIY things that I do, instead of just looking at Fashion!

DIY: Inspiration & Friendship Decoration Tags

By November 28, 2012 DIY & Lifestyle, General

Sounds odd, doesn’t it? But, I loved creating them! I got the idea when I was really bored, and was thinking about something I could do for my room, and it’s all I could think of! So here it is, my unique, Inspiration & Friendship Decoration Tags!

I put one pink and one green on each tag.

I am going to get my friend and my sister to write a note on the back, so they are personal to me 🙂

You can make these personal, inspiration, or just plain funky 🙂 You could even make them into christmas cards 😉

How To Get Inspired: The Blogger Way

By November 24, 2012 Beauty, DIY & Lifestyle, My Style

Now, as you know The Blogger Trend is big this season, so I decided to take you down a trip of getting inspired. So, I am welcoming you to my workspace and bedroom…

Pin Board & Instagram Wall

Pin Boards & Instagram Walls are so easy to create. I bought my Pin Board back in the UK, for under £4 at Staples, and just got a bunch of pins. I stick on To Do lists, things I would love to own, places I would love to go, magazine clippings, labels, and other cool stuff, including a piece of candy rock, and a mini shoe keyring! To create in Instagram Wall, all you have to do is create an account, take some snaps, and print them out, and then, obviously, stick them up!

Everything! Oh, and my Dr Marten poster!

Yep! I have a Dr Marten poster! It is to keep me dreaming of owning a pair! I also have my Access All Areas pass from the Clothes Show London 2011, and a dollar note up there. Interesting… but, it looks cool, and it keeps me cool – by that, I mean thinking & dreaming cool stuff!

Sorry, I just couldn’t resist! I love this birthday ‘cat’ that I got this year, it’s so cute! Also, I love the clipping I cut out of the ‘Fashion’s Most Wanted’.

I love my Dr Marten’s poster! I also love, cute cartoon things, like this Make-Up case! It’s great for holding stuff that you don’t use all the time, and also a cute decoration! Also, here’s another picture of my Instagram Wall, just so you can see the sorts of things I like to show off! Ha!

To make your room extra colourful, and quirky, just add some cute flirty decorations! I love it! Also, things I do like to put on my Instagram Wall, are pictures of cool items, my cat, my sister – as I miss her so much 😉 – and anything generally well Instagramed.

So, there you have it! An insight into how I get inspired, and I like to show off my style. Oh, and when my room is painted, I will do a tour of my room 😉 Also, if you want to know some of my favourite online Pinboards, here they are…

Pinterest – I love the ease of it, but it is mostly public, and public sharing.

Springpad – I prefer this for private sharing, and private notebooks. I like making up notebooks to help friends think of ideas for their bedrooms etc.

I am watching a christmas film right now, and I just thought, ‘You know what, lets not think about Fashion for a while, lets talk movies!’. I love snuggling up to a good old family film with a nice hot cup of tea. So here’s a list for you guys!…

Favourite Modern Classic: The Polar Express & Best Family Favourite: Home Alone.

The Polar Express is so good to watch. I think I might watch it on Christmas Day or something, because I love it. It’s so beautifully done ad the story is so good. Home Alone is the best family movie. It’s funny, dramatic, and great for spending time together!

Favourite Christmas Comedy: Elf & Favourite Christmas Romance.

Elf is so funny! I love it, I don’t think it even has to be Christmas to enjoy this film, it’s great! Love Actually, well actually I haven’t seen this film, but I do know that others love it!

Favourite Classic Animation: A Christmas Carol & Favourite Christmas Muppet: The Muppet Christmas Carol.

A Christmas Carol is a classic. It’s not my personal favourite, but it’s great for just sitting down, and chilling out. Now, don’t you just love my categories! The Favourite Christmas ‘Muppet’?! Yes, this is a great film. Watch this, and everyone will be happy!

Favourite Modern Animation: Arthur Christmas & Favourite Comedy Twist: Nativity.

I love Arthur! It is such a fun, feel good movie! I really want it on DVD! That’s all I have to say, it’s just great! Nativity is also great for the kids, really funny and a great feel good, and if you’ve seen it you’ll know what I mean when I say, ‘Bob!’.

Upcoming Christmas Movie: Rise of The Guardians

This movie is coming soon (I believe), and it looks super cute and fun, so I hope you guys go and have a taste of it! I will try to do the same!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, MY DARLING DOLLIES!

DIY Refreshing Anti-Oxidant Green Tea Facial Pads/Spray

By September 15, 2012 Beauty, DIY & Lifestyle

I was researching some DIY things on YouTube etc, and came across this! I thought I would do a DIY as it is so simple, and so nice! There are 2 ways of doing it, but I did it with pads. First some research about Green Tea…

Green Tea can…

  • Reduce aging.
  • Counteract Oxidisation.
  • Support the immune system – If used as a drink.
  • Refresh tired skin.
  • Protect your skin for harmful sun rays – You may still need to use a sun lotion, so don’t just use Green Tea!

You can use this in a spray bottle – All you have to do is pour the tea into the bottle, and use it as a toner.

Oh, and this is my last post until I get internet! Or should I say… Oh, et ceci est mon dernier message jusqu’à ce que j’obtienne internet! (Google Translate! Ha Ha…) So… Au Revoir!

How To Pack: No Hassle.. Plus! Big News

By September 14, 2012 DIY & Lifestyle, My Style

I know this may sound ridiculously stupid, but a lot of people get it wrong. They end up at the airport forgetting something and having to pay more money to buy another one, or having to pay money because their bag is too big. I am doing this post because I am packing today before I go! (If you don’t know why then look below!)

I know! I am moving! But, I will be back soon! Anyway, let’s get on with the post…

BTW I do have hair! My bun makes me look like I don't! And plus, stunning picture hey? Ha ha NOT

I find the ‘Do It By Day’ list easier, so I can plan my outfits, and know what I am packing twice!

DO Make sure you have spares, because anything could happen! Spillages etc etc And bring at least one warm/cold thing because you can’t really predict the weather!

YOU REALLY NEED TO CHECK WHAT THE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE IS. Especially when using hand luggage! You don’t want to have to pay the extra charges. (I am only using hand luggage, as all my stuff will be on a lorry! So weird thinking about it, but I am excited too!)

I hope this gave some tips if you aren’t that great a packer, although it may sound pointless, a lot of people forget! Oh, and I will be saying ‘au revoir’ this evening! Hair dressers tomorrow, then final  packing Sunday, and then the big move! Well, flying out on Tuesday but yeah…

Nail Art Tutorial: Colour French Tips

By August 25, 2012 Beauty, DIY & Lifestyle

I was requested to do a nail art tutorial, so I thought I would use some nice new polishes I got recently, and do Colourful French Tips!

The colour polishes I used were Bourjois, and they have both got amazing brushes! With the blue, I only had to do one coat, because the brush would fit the nail to size. The pink was really easy to French Tips with because it had a good angle, instead of a normal brush, which really doesn’t work well with shaky hands!

The Base Coat I used was also a Nail Thickener, but it is recommended for a Base Coat.

(Sorry for the size!)

(Sorry for the size!… Again!)

At the moment (apart from blogging), I am very bored 🙁 So I decided to make up 120 things to do when I am bored, and then put them in a jar. This is really easy, and all you need is a 0.5l/1l Jar, tape, and 120 ideas!
