I have seen many Fashion & Beauty blogs doing these sorts of posts, in video and text form, so I decided to do my own. Now, don’t think that this is expert advice, but I have picked up tips from around the web, and also have some ideas of my own.
One of the big trends for this upcoming season is Hair Accessories. From clips, to hair ‘necklaces’, you need to have a statement piece. I have found 5 awesome pieces for you to choose from, and get inspiration from…
Spiked Headband £10.00, River Island Beaded Head Band With Dangle Feather £9.00, River Island Tan Feather & Charm Dangle Stretch Hair Band £10.00, Hair Quiff £6.00 & French Connection Exclusive to ASOS Animal Set of Slides £2.00 (All from ASOS).
This post is all about Celebrity Fragrances, pretty much because of the launch of the new Cher Lloyd Fragrance, so I thought I would take a look at some of the Celebrities who have launched a new scent recently! (Pictures from The Telegraph)
I think the bottle of this perfume is cute and fun, but I am not sure whether I would really want to smell of Cher Lloyd, as ‘TBH’, I am not one of her biggest fans.
I actually couldn’t believe it when I found this! The Pope, actually has a perfume? Anyone for trying? Haha!…
Yes, another crazy one, but it isn’t his, thank goodness! You would’ve expected the President of America to have had better designers with him! I am glad it is just inspired! The name kind of reminds me of a good old tune…. ‘Can we fix it? Yes We Can!’
Some people say that Justin Bieber isn’t feminine, or anything…. Well, this is him at his launch of ‘Someday’, his fragrance for girls. I would definitely not get this, as I just don’t like Justin Bieber, but if you do, I guess you’ll be in a dream world….
Back to the females of the world… and tiny little men! What do you think is the first thing? This campaign, doesn’t really show off the bottle does it? Just kind of makes you look at a naked Gaga, and men climbing all over her. Don’t really know whether I would want to take a sniff of it? Maybe…
Surprising in deed! You would think an upmarket model would have an upmarket looking fragrance wouldn’t you? Not pink and fluffy…. okay…. moving on swiftly…
WOW! Last but certainly not least… Tulisa! First thing which is wrong, is that dress. Red + Black = fine. Red + Black + Pink Bottle = No. I don’t think I would ever think of knowing what this smells like!
This is Part 2 of my A-Z Make-Up Tips (H-N)! If you didn’t see the first part, click here! If you see any mistakes, the reason is because my fingers are just too fast, my brain cannot catch up! Ha Ha!
From basic skills to things you might not of known, this list is for you Make-Up lovers, and beauty babes out there! Part 1 is A-G, so watch out for the next parts!
A YouTube Vlogger has inspired me to do a beauty tutorial on Bed Time Beauty… or Morning Beauty! So here it is!
Hope you enjoyed it! Sweet Dreams!
I have had someone answer in my Survey, that they wanted some posts on cheap make-up, so I decided to do a post on how to create a celebrity look using cheap make-up. So here it is…. (Picture found via Glamour.com)
 1: FOUNDATION, CONCEALER & PRIMER.
PRIMER £4.00, CONCEALER £1.99, FOUNDATION £3.49.
Jessica has quite a glowing tone, and the Foundation I have chosen is really light and natural, and the Concealer matches really well. Primers are handy because they make sure that the Make-Up applied on top stays for longer, and it also makes any colour stand out stronger.
2: EYE MAKE-UP, LASHES & EYEBROW PENCIL.
MASCARA £1.00, LASHES £1.99, EYEBROW PEN £2.59 & EYESHADOW £1.00.
Jessica is working a smokey eye, but with a little bit of pinky colour, so these MUA £1.00 are brilliant for this look!
3. BLUSHER,BRONZER & POWDER.
POWDER £1.99, BRONZER £1.00 & BLUSHER £1.00.
For the Powder, Blusher & Bronzer you want light natural colours to compliment the smoky eyes.
4: LIPS
LIPSTICK £1.49 & LIPGLOSS £1.99.
This Lipstick & Gloss go really well, but make sure when applying that you only use the Gloss as a highlighter and only apply to the center of the lips.
So, all together the total of this Jessica Alba look is…
TOTAL PRICE = £26.53!
Dip-dye is still a massive trend this year, even though it may of ‘dyed’ down a bit (haha), it is still living strong on the hair of the celebrities… and very recently, me! I got mine done on Saturday, and I love it! My style is very natural and basic… (Photos found via Marie Claire)
This look on Nicola is like Marmite, because you either love it or you hate it. This look is quite natural, which is good, but I am not quite sure whether it really suits her?
Dip-dye is a big thumbs up fro Audrina! I really like it, and I think it looks really classy! Very well done!
I am not really quite sure what to say about this… all I can say is, no. Cat needs to stay blonde, or just go completely dark! I think the blonde to brown look just hasn’t worked for her… Sorry Cat!
Looking good Drew! I really like this rock chic look on her, and I think it makes her stand out from the crowd. If you were thinking of going for this style, pair it with a bright pink or baby pink lipstick, and a denim jacket, and you’ll look great!
I think this makes Ciara look very powerful and strong, and makes her look gorgeous! I really like this look on her. A very big thumbs up to her!
I think we have a winner! I love this look on Caroline, and she just works it really well! If you were thinking of having your hair Dip-dyed, then I would definitely go for this style!
This is the Candy Dip-dye’ (as I like to call it!), and I love it! I think when I am a bit older I might go for this look because I have always wanted it, and I just think it would look so good! Another big thumbs up!
Watch out for a poll so you can vote for who rocks the Dip-dye best!
I was requested to do a nail art tutorial, so I thought I would use some nice new polishes I got recently, and do Colourful French Tips!
The colour polishes I used were Bourjois, and they have both got amazing brushes! With the blue, I only had to do one coat, because the brush would fit the nail to size. The pink was really easy to French Tips with because it had a good angle, instead of a normal brush, which really doesn’t work well with shaky hands!
The Base Coat I used was also a Nail Thickener, but it is recommended for a Base Coat.
As you hopefully know, I have been out shopping to get a few products, a few meaning 2! In this review I will be including those 2 products, and also a few others which I already had. So, if you’re thinking of going on a purse friendly Make-Up Haul, keep reading!
MUA Mascara – £1.00 (Shade 4)
I love this mascara! I have had it for a long time now, and it is perfect! I like a natural, but long lash look, and that is exactly what it does. It may be brown, but you wouldn’t tell. The best thing about it, is that it does NOT clump, at all! It seriously doesn’t! I have tried Miss Sporty Studio Lash Mascara, and that was good, but it clumped, and was 5 times the price. For £1.00, you actually cannot go wrong. Even if you do think you really can’t spend again, just do it. It is well worth it, and there are many different colours.
Overall – 10/10 – Nothing wrong with it, it is perfect.
MUA Intense Colour Mascara – £1.00 (Royal Blue)
I have been wanting an eye liner pencil for ages, and I am glad I chose this one. I was going to get black, and play it safe, but I am glad I didn’t. The blue is very strong, but you can blend it really easily so it isn’t so dramatic. It just adds that little bit extra colour, and is great for when you don’t want to wear too much eye shadow. It goes on really well, and is very smooth. It doesn’t drag on the eye, and it comes with a sharpener in the lid, so no need to go out and buy one. This is a bargain!
Overall – 9/10 – It is very good, but maybe a little too strong a colour.
MUA Blusher – £1.00 (Shade 5)
You might think this looks really dark, but I think it is just the picture. I wanted this shade because I have tried Benefit’s Havana, and this gives the same sort of look. It has a pearly colour to it, and it very rosy, but not pink. I think it gives a natural look, but is strong enough to give a boost of colour and shine. It is best blended/applied with fingertips otherwise it will look to strong, and with a brush, it just doesn’t have the same pearly look.
Overall – 8/10 – It is nice, but you need to be careful about the amount you apply.
MUA Lipgloss Tube – £1.00 (Shade 2)
Again, this picture makes it look a lot darker than it is. It is really, a more peachy colour. I usually use it over the top of a Dior lipstick (Rouge Dior, 296 Beige Box Office), because it gives it a really nice shine, it works as a highlighter, and gives it a more metallicy, shiny look. You need to apply this gently, and with a small fingertip/brush, as it is quite strong. It is worth the price, but I wouldn’t necessarily, just buy it (as I got it for a gift).
Overall – 8/10 – Nice, cheap, and good for highlighting.
MUA Review –
Prices – 10/10 – The prices are amazing, and I think their most expensive product is £5.
Quality – 8.5/10 – Very good for the price, but isn’t as good as big brands like MAC.
Overall – 10/10 – Amazing for small budgets, and just for every day make-up, and perfect for cheap gifts!
