Opening of New York Boutique Store ‘Opening Ceremony’ in London

By July 20, 2012 Fashion

Yes, I am back! I have had a short break and ready to start to some more posts and fresh things!

I came across this, and I love it! Opening Ceremony is a new Boutique from New York. It is really fresh and funky, and you can now visit a pop-up store in London’s Covent Garden. One day I would love to have stores quite similar to this, but a completely different take on the clothes. I love the ideas they have, and you have to visit there site. If you are someone like me, then you will love it! It is bright, funky, and totally cool! The store is for Men, Women & Kids, and most of the clothing in the store is all for the London Store, so what is there, is only there. Take a look > Opening Ceremony (US).

I love the style and I think it works so well with the Olympics! And the stairs! I love that idea! It is super cool, and new!  If you can’t read it, it says…

HEY YOUNG LONDON, YOU’RE THE BRIGHTEST STAR SO YOU RIDE ABOUT GOT TO GET THAT FAR, WELL, I’VE READ YOUR FACE AND SEEN YOUR PLACE and you’ll let me in if I share your tastes YOU KNOW THE NIGHT SPOTS IF YOU WANNA STAY HIP HEY YOUNG LONDON YOU’RE A BRIGHT YOUNG THING …..

Rock the Bralet!

By July 14, 2012 Fashion

Now, I have done a post about the trend of Bralets before, but I just wanted to re-cap on how to work it, and what to wear with a Bralet. So here you go.

Here are three Bralets, which are all £30.00 & Under!

Black Bandage Bralet £30.00 (River Island), Rose Print Corset £30.00 (Topshop), Yumi Pink Stripe Bralet £17.00 (Newlook.com)

And this how you can work a couple of them…

Black Bandage Bralet £30.00 (River Island), Black Pencil Skirt £20.00 (River Island), Black 3/4 Sleeve Blazer £35.00 (River Island), Scala High Heels £22.00 (ASOS), Rocco Articulated Statement Necklace £15.00 (ASOS) & Mega Stud Bracelet £15.00 (ASOS).

This Black Bralet can be worked very Professionally, just by mixing it with a classy pair of heels, and gold chunky accessories. Perhaps not for the office, but for those hot sunny days, after work!

Rose Print Corset £30.00 (Topshop), Moto Sparkle Bleach Hotpants £34.00 (Topshop), Seed Bead Pearl Cuff £12.50 (Topshop), Pika Suede High Heels £50.00 (ASOS) & River Island Coral Logo Purse £17.00 (ASOS).

This Bralet is really cute, and would look great with these heels. Look forward to the sun with these shorts, which look great with longer legs!

Petition for Teen Vogue to Stop Airbrushing

By July 14, 2012 Beauty, Fashion

I am so glad I came across this post on the Guardian! I totally agree with these Teen Vogue readers.

Girls who read Teen Vogue, need to be encouraged to feel good in their natural skin. Seeing pictures of teen celebrities, air brushed and pampered, is not what they need to be seeing. Like the latest TV ads from Dove, about girl’s self esteem (Click the link for more info!), it shows that girls are worried about what people may think about how they look, and how they feel, and seeing people who look ‘perfect’, is not a great way of boosting their confidence. If you want to feel safe in their own skin, then models and teen celebrities should be natural to the public. Air brushing is a way of showing off no natural beauty, and covering up it all. Yes, the magazine companies want their magazine cover to look the best it can, but maybe it can look great without the Photo-shop editing!

I am totally on your side girls!

Valentino New 2012 Autumn Collection Sneak Peek

By July 14, 2012 Fashion

Oh. My. Gosh! I was browsing around, and found the new Valentino Autumn Collection! It is sooo nice! I am fortunate enough to own a real Valentino bag, which I couldn’t believe was real myself! Now looking at this had made me think, ‘I HEART VALENTINO!’. Take a look yourself… I must say, this collection is like the Holy Bible of an Autumn Collection! (Sorry about Picture quality!)

My favourite, has to be the Green Peplum Top & Trousers. That outfit is gor-ge-ous!

Some interesting news about Valentino, is that it was bought out this Thursday by the Royal Family of Qatar for a reported £550… Million! It is the second renowned Italian design firm, to be bought out by the Gulf’s investors. The company’s founder – Valentino Garavani –  signed his last collection in 2008, and 10 years before that he had sold the company for £195m, to an Italian conglomerate. The work of ‘Valentino’ are now in the hands of Maria Grazia Chiur & Pierpaolo Picciolo, who worked with Garavani before his retirement.

ASOS Swallow Ear Cuff Review

By July 13, 2012 Fashion, My Style

I must say getting Next Day Delivery, is great! You don’t have to wait for things you love! Here’s what my new Ear Cuff looks like…

Ear Cuff on my ear!

Here’s my review…

Comfort – 9/10, Size – 7/10, Look – 9.5/10, Stylishness – 9/10, How Much I love it – 10/10. Total Score = 44.5!

It fits quite well at a certain point of my ear, but that’s understandable, because it’s not really meant to fit an ear of my size 😉 but you can adjust it so it grips on better. The size is good, and the Swallow stands out quite well, but it’s not massive. The Look is awesome, it is silver and I usually flick my hair over, so it looks really rock chic! It is really stylish, and I have looked around, and they are very in trend! I love it so much, because for £3.00 in the sale, it is a bargain! I am so glad I bought it, and if you want one, I really do recommend it. There are different styles, like ones that go around your ear, and other ones that have earrings attached. They totally rock!
