Before I start this blog post on my new almight obsession with Yazbukey I just want to ask you guys something… Do you prefer me posting every other day or, whenever? Do you prefer it more frequent and ‘scheduled’ or more laid back? I really need to know! Anyway… onto Yazbukey. Ohhhhh, my. I need to say a thank you to Susie Bubble for Instagramming this picture, which started this whole ‘thing’ off… (Images from Yazbukey)
Is it rubber? Is it card? No, it’s Plexiglas! At first I was like, ‘Oh, that’s pretty cool! It’s rubber!’ but then I read on and realised it was acrylic glass. Yazbuckley takes the Tatty Devine style designs to the next level. All the creations are insane. From a corset shape which you attach to your outfit with a strap, to wig shapes which are actually hats, I want everything. My favourite are the Murder She Wrote (below) for A/W 13′ and the Tropical Heatwave (above) for S/S 13′ collections. I love the fact that there are statement pieces as well as simple accessories to suit everyone’s taste. I’m surprised that I had never heard of Yazbukey before, seeing as the brand has collaborated with designers and brands like Chanel, Zac Posen, Laudree and even L’Oreal. I’m really excited to see future collections, from Yakbukey.
I love the Pop Art, retro feel of all the designs and collections, but yet it all feels modern and ‘current’. I feel like acrylic is the new silver… forget dainty necklaces, it’s time for plastic. I mean, ‘come on, Barbie’ – see what I did there… – even said it? You might be thinking ‘But Silver is way more elegant than Plastic.’ Umm? Take a look at the earrings and necklaces in the bottom right of the picture above. I believe ‘Yaz’ has proven you wrong. Ahh, how beautiful. My never-going-to-happen Christmas wishlist has just grown a tad longer. Dear Yazbukey, please could I have the oxblood bag with the sunglasses etc, on the front? Thank You in advance.
