Not only is this actual shoot rather editorial, but the outfit itself is kinda’ high-fashion inspired in my opinion. It’s mainly inspired by the desert with my gorgeous new Scotch R’Belle cap which itself has a desert inspired print with camels and pyramids making an appearance. It’s also got those floaty, wind catching vibes with the dress (which is one of my favourite recent purchases).

It’s still not perfectly warm and sunny at the moment, so I have a pair of leggings underneath, topped off with my trusty Nike trainers to tie in all of the colours. It’s sporty, it’s simple, but it still has a lot of depth and texture going on throughout. My new favourite combination, I think!

Scotch R’Belle is actually the teen range of Scotch & Soda who also have Maison Scotch under their name; I’ve owned one of their blouses for a while now so to have some more specifically teen focused items in my wardrobe from them, makes me particularly happy. Everything’s such lovely quality too, and because of that, I’m going to give away a little something for you! Scroll on down for more details…

“Blue Bootin” is a mish-mash of both 60s and 70s styles. With discos and partying slowly creeping into the lives of late-70s youngsters, and the block-colour styles still lingering from the 60s, it seemed like a perfect combination for the collection… plus, I do love a bit of blue!

The checks are actually mix-matched and don’t all flow in unison which is inspired by the sparkling colours of a disco ball. The bold simplicity of the design makes for a statement which is also very versatile too. The hint of pastel and white also allows it to be worn in not only summer and spring, but winter with the snowy themes coming through!

These could actually look really cute with the Mooi en Lief “BUCKLE Pink” Wellington boots for a different kinda’ look!

“Homo Superior” was inspired by the record cover of David Bowie’s ‘Hunky Dory’ album, and the song ‘Oh You Pretty Things’ which features the line of lyrics… ‘You gotta’ make way for the Homo Superior’. Homo Superior basically means somebody of supernatural powers, so a bit like a super hero. In my opinion socks are a very big part of a super hero’s costume so it fits well, right?

This pair of socks looks awesome with suede and could totally work with a biker jacket too. Well hello there my friends 🙂 I’m still feeling really rubbish with a stinking cold, but don’t worry, hopefully I’ll be on the mend soon! Anyway, today’s blog post is a little chatty one about Mooi en Lief… you mayyy recognise the name from this post… yeah, pretty exciting huh?! I just wanted to introduce you to them a bit more, and give you the chance to win an awesome prize…

~ MEET MOOI EN LIEF ~

So you are probably first of all wondering, who on earth are Mooi en Lief? Well, they’re a dutch wellington boot brand! They’re main belief is that everybody is different, and that’s what they want to incorporate with their products. It’s one of the main reasons why I’m so happy I get to work with them, they have just the same mindset as me 🙂 Plus, just because wellies are practical, doesn’t mean they have to be boring, right? They’ve also recently introduced ‘Style Kits‘ into their range, which are super cool, but I’ll talk about them a little later.

Mooi en Lief sent me a pair of their Black Buckle wellies and they’re actually pretty cool. I love the laces at the back, they kind of remind me of the Chanel A/W 14′ collection… not sure why, but oh well! I took these pictures on New Year’s Eve when it was absolutely freezing and it’s safe to say that they kept my feet toasty and warm… they also did today when I went outside and sledged! YES! SNOW. We have snow and I am very happy about that, can you tell?!

~ AN UPDATE… #MooiEnLiefbyTDP ~

Okay, so it’s been a while since I’ve spoken about my Mooi en Lief collaboration. If you didn’t already know, back in the summer I announced that I will be collaborating with them on a socks and tights collection! How exciting! It is still going on, we’re actually really near to finishing everything up, and hopefully soon I will be able to confirm an actual launch date. I’m so excited! ~ WELCOME ~

Eeeee! HOW, crazy is this?! Welcome to Tolly Dolly Posh Fashion 2.0! I’m so excited to finally show you the new design! I literally cannot contain my excitement! I hope you have had a little nosy around and got used to all the new functions and features… it’s a little different isn’t it?

Where do I begin… for ages now, I’ve been thinking about giving this place a bit of a re-vamp, but have never just ‘gone for it’. It’s hard to let go of certain things when they just seem so comfortable and normal to you. My old design had been with me since Day 1, which I believe is fairly unusual for most bloggers. I’ve seen many bloggers change from design to design every month or so, but I was pretty happy with the way it was. Recently though, it just felt a bit dated. The whole look and feel was a bit old fashioned (in my opinion), and I was just simply growing out of it! I started blogging properly when I was 11, and now I’m 14, so clearly my tastes have changed.

The scariest part for me was leaving my header behind. The aztec headband and peace sign poses were not me at all anymore, and needed to go. They had been a big part of my journey, some might say they were my ‘branding’. The old header pictures were featured in magazines, so how I could I not feel a bit hesitant on letting it go?! Plus, you guys seemed to love the old design, so it’s been a tough decision. I’ve done it though, and I don’t regret it one bit! I hope you adore it as much as I do! The design is much more me. It’s still colourful and has a lot of my personality injected into it, but it’s cleaner and more professional. It also gives me the opportunity to change it up every now and again, seeing as the header is a collection of my favourite outfit posts. The other images can also be changed and that makes me so much happier.

With my old design I was held back by everything being so uniform. My Twitter, Facebook and Instagram profile pictures all matched, and whenever I liked a picture of myself (okay, that doesn’t sound vain at all), I couldn’t just quickly switch it around. It might have been the perfectionist in me, but that needed to change, and now I can do that whenever I want. YAY to freedom!

~ NEW IDEAS ~

When I finally finished the main bulk of the design, I realised that I needed to actually think about what I want to do with my blog. You may notice that my header no longer says ‘Tolly Dolly Posh Fashion’, and I don’t want this to alarm people, because look at the URL! I’m stilling calling this a fashion blog, because it is one, but I also want to reach out to other topics. I enjoy writing, so I want to share my other opinions and feelings with you too! I’ve also come to the realisation that I need to go for ‘quality over quantity’ within my posts. Ever since I posted my tennis court photoshoot, I’ve been so inspired by photography and fashion editorials, that I’ve decided that’s the route I want to go with certain elements of my blog. From now on I’ve decided to focus on the quality of outfit posts rather than the amount that I post. I know you guys absolutely love them, so I want to make them the best they can be! I’m actually soon to be investing in an even better lens than I already have which is super duper exciting, so hopefully that will all tie in nicely.

Another new idea I have is called ‘Series Sunday’. Every Sunday from now on (excuse tomorrow, you can let me off just this one time) there will be a post from a set series which I am running. I’ve noticed that I never really carry on series posts so I thought it would be a good way to change that. One Sunday you might see an A-Z Fashion post, the next you might see a Scrap Social post, who knows! I hope you like this idea and that you are now looking forward to your Sunday’s 🙂

Hello! I will explain my theory further in this post, but I believe it maybe my first OOTD of Spring…. oh yes. It is so beautiful outside whilst I write this (sitting on a table by the window – actually quite uncomfortable being a bony person), and I cannot wait to start sitting outside more. Enjoy this blog post because it has a GIVE-AWAY in it and you know what that means 😉

What I Wore: Faux Leather Biker Jacket £46.99 (Hearts & Bows – ARK)*, French Navy Bouquet Blouse (Joules)*, Blue and White Skirt €5.00 (Jumble Sale), Blue Floral Keds (ASOS), NANCY Sunglasses (London Retro – My Optique)* & Facial Ring Set (Rings & Tings)*

This outfit is a really good transitional outfit in my opinion. The top half is quite autumnal and the bottom half quite spring like, but the way the blouse picks out the blue from the skirt, makes it acceptable. I have been wearing this faux leather and blouse combo so much since I received them both, and I am literally obsessed. Not only have I really been wanting a faux leather jacket for years, I am also on a bit of a ‘blouse high’. I’ve never been the biggest Joules fan, but my thoughts on the brand have definitely changed since getting this blouse because 1, the women’s shirts are amazing quality, and 2 – just because it has the sort of ‘Polo’ ‘Horse Riding’ theme around the brand, it doesn’t mean you have to style it that way which you can see by this outfit! The leather jacket is so nice, and it fits amazingly. It’s not shiny either so it looks really nice and not tacky. I absolutely love my bargain skirt too but the one thing is the buttons… I think I might do a bit of a tweak to them. Overall as I said, I really like this outfit and it has a good balance of colours and styles.

I’ve had my blue floral Keds for about a year now. I had some navy ones (I am pretty sure they were kids – much better size for my slim feet!) but I grew out of them, and just couldn’t live without them, so I went on ASOS and saw they were way cheaper than Schuh or Keds, and snapped up a pair, but unfortunately ‘adult sized’ Keds don’t fit me as well, so although they fit after yonks of waiting, they are still slightly sloppy. In terms of jewellery in this OOTD, I went with my 3 rings from Rings & Tings, which are gorgeous. I’m not the biggest fan of the lips one, but I think the eye and the faux ruby look amazing. I’ve never really worn gold and silver together, but I think they look very nice together.

The sunglasses I am wearing are from London Retro. As a blogger I know all the gossip about PR reviews and things like that, and reviewing a pair of these I guess is known as ‘controversial’, but I decided I would review them for you, and let everybody know what they are really like. I’m a big fan of quite round sunglasses because I think they look really summery and (London) retro 😉 😉 and when I first tried these on, I wasn’t quite sure they suited me, but looking back at these pictures, I have decided they don’t look half bad!  I would have to say I am more of a ‘big’ sunglasses fan, and these come  up quite small on me, which is one thing to take into consideration seeing as I am only a small little person. One thing I found different compared to the pictures on the site is that the blue in the tortoise shell doesn’t come up as bright and as obvious. I finally have a necklace with my real name on it! Woop! I’ve always loved the idea of a scrabble necklace, and this one is so nice! It’s really well made, and I love how it’s so jingly when I move (odd, I know)! My name would be the worst in a game of scrabble though… I mean 9 points… I guess you’d need to keep an eye out for a triple square! Do you like it? As you probably know already, I’m a fan of jewellery! I love festival style jewellery, bold necklaces and dainty little bracelets, and I know somewhere which has all of that, for the best prices! The chain is a nice size and would look really good on top of a big scarf. I also love the woven bracelet! It would look good with loads of them together, which I actually may do… 😉 Harts + Crosses are a great brand, and you really should go take a look at them, because I reckon you’ll come off the site with something in your basket!

Here are the cross & daisy earrings. They are both brilliant! With daisies & crosses being in trend this spring, you cannot go wrong! If I had my ears pierced I would totally wear these all day long! My favourite are the crosses because they could make any outfit a bit more edgy! As I just said, I don’t have my ears pierced, so! I have decided to run a give-away!
