Holographic & Sparkly Fashion Trend

By October 19, 2013 Fashion

Hi hi. How are you? Seeing as you loved my Tulle Dresses & Neon Trainers post so much, I thought I’d make another similar one, but this one is all about my love for Holographic Fashion (plus a bit of sparkle)! (Images via Pinterest)

Everything. Is. So. Perfect. I’m obsessed with the Holographic trend. At first I wasn’t sure, but now I just love it. It’s so three dimensional, and looks different in every light. I mean, how cool is that ruck sack? I love different colours of holographic things too, like the pink mini dress and biker jacket, AND THOSE SHOES. OH MY. Please can I have them? PLEASE! I believe this trend was more ‘in’ this summer, but I think it is still perfect for winter because it reminds me of snowflakes and just crisp, coolness. Plus, imagine wearing a holographic dress to a Christmas party? 100% awesome-ness. I also love how it can be layered with different textures, especially faux fur, which looks literally amazing with it. If you want to just add a touch of holographic, do it with shoes… a bag… or an awesome head-shield-mask-y thing. But seriously, I think we need to take a moment to appreciate the awesomeness of that pink holographic two piece. *moment of silence* Ahhh, so beautiful.

I am sorry for the Barbie in the background. I do not play with Barbie anymore, I am a 13 years old guys. The only reason for including the picture was because it was Pinterest’s only answer to ‘Holographic & Tulle’ (y’all know my addiction to Tulle), so it was sort of obligatory to include it. But yeah, this is sort of the ‘Sparkly’ part of this post. My answer to anything nice and glittery, now lies in the hands of The White Pepper. Their new collection for winter features some gorgeous glittery pieces, I love them! I am absolutely furious – GRRR – that the Tulle skirt on ASOS is only in size large in the sale. I almost cried when I saw it at only £15.00. Why must you be so beautiful?! 🙁 I am definitely warning you that you will probably have made your Christmas wishlist by the time you have finished browsing The White Pepper. *sighs*

I hope you liked this little post 🙂 If you did, please leave a comment below with your thoughts, because I quite enjoy doing these ones! Pip Pip!

If I Could I Would Wishlist: Funky Bling & Quay

By October 11, 2013 Fashion, Wishlist

Hello everyone! How are you on this fine grey day? I’m really tired at the moment and cannot wait for a weeks break very soon (although, it’s not really a break, as I’m gonna’ be verrrrry busy!), and also I have to sleep next door to a 3 week year old baby (eeeee!) so I guess this tiredness will get worse… oh. Anyway! This is a ‘If I Could I Would’ wishlist, basically meaning, if I had the money to waste on very expensive beanies, these are the ones I would pick (and other stuff)… enjoy!

designer high end fashion wishlist tatty devine quay eyeware funky bling asosAnnabelle//Bat//Pink Harvest//Yellowbric//Ivy//Mancini From £23.69 – £24.99

Quay Eyeware – I found this amazzzzzzing glasses brand via ARK clothing, and oh wow, I have fallen in love. SO NICE. My favourites are the ‘Pink Harvest’ pair. I love round sunglasses and these are bright pink sooo….? They’re not like £300+ obviously, but I do have quite a few sunglasses, so they aren’t really needed, but ‘If I Could, I Would‘… haha! designer high end fashion wishlist tatty devine quay eyeware funky bling asosRebel £60.00//Dope Jewel £150.00//Meow £30.00

Funky Bling Beanies – Upon searching ‘funky’ into ASOS (as you do), I came across these beanies. Now, I am sure you could DIY them some how (anyone have any ideas?), but they are pretty cool. I don’t think I could ever quite commit to owning a £150 beanie really… or a £60 one… or a £30 one… but, they are pretty cool! My favourite is the REBEL one. I feel like the jewel one could get in your face bit too much, and the MEOW one is a bit bright for everyday wear. If I did ever by one of these, I would probably have to invest in a cat free safe so that 1, no threads are pulled, and 2, I don’t ever lose (or wear) it.

designer high end fashion wishlist tatty devine quay eyeware funky bling asosJacket £184.50//Necklace £30.00//Sandals £55.00

Holographic Jacket – Do I need to explain? It’s metallic AND a biker, AND a leather jacket. It’s a tad pricey to splurge on, but it would be a good investment, non? Eleventh Paris always reminds me of The Hunger Games because I had a poster of the guy who acts as the fashion designer (you with me?) – Eeep! 2nd movie is out soon! YAY! – so yah.

Tatty Devine Necklace – First of all, do we like my editing skills? Putting ‘Tolly’ on the necklace? Yup. Secondly, how cute? I first saw this necklace on Olivia Purvis (What Olivia Did) – obviously not with Tolly on – and I just think they are really cool! I probably wouldn’t have my name, but I dunno’. Maybe?

Gladiator Sandals – I LOVE THESE SO SO MUCH. I’ve seen them loads, but I just want them. Like seriously, If I Could I DEFINITELY Would! They’re chunky, but simple, retro but cool. Ahhh, one can dream. These would be good in A/W too with nice tights and all, and amazing in Summer. Whyeeeee! Gah, I WILL have them one day. I WILL!

I know not all of these were ridiculously expensive, but it’s not always fun looking at things which are wayyy out of your price range. I mean, who here would spend £150 on a beanie? I hope you liked this post! If you want to see more things which are on my wishlist, check out my wishlist page here! I’m sorry I haven’t updated it recently, I will!

The Best Look Books of A/W 13′

By August 25, 2013 Fashion

It’s getting to that time again where brand’s are releasing their look books and official collection ‘promo shots’, it’s one of my favourite times of the year, because it means sitting down with a cup of tea flicking through the gorgeous pictures which feature clothes that I wish could fill up my wardrobe.

the best look books of a/w 13' alice and olivia

Alice & Olivia: Up until recently, I’d never heard of Alice and Olivia, but when I did find them, I fell in love. I think I’m going through a sort of ‘basics’ phase because I love how simple and effortless both the collection and look book are. I think they have captured the ‘essence’ and ‘vibe’ of Autumn, because there is nothing too ‘vampy’ or ‘gothic’ in there, which I think a lot of brands do when it gets to A/W. One of my predictions for the new season is the ‘flapper’ style, which I strongly believe is because of The Great Gatsby film (is the DVD out yet?), and I love it! I never really wear lace or pearl necklaces, so I hope it will suit me when I give it a try!

the best look books of a/w 13' asos

ASOS: I love ASOS. I think probably everyone who knows me, knows that I have a love affair with them. You can’t really go wrong with £10 dresses can you? No, exactly. When my eyes set onto the new look book, I fell in love all over again. ASOS have really caught onto the 90’s vibe which I am sure is going to be big, and have put their own chic twist on it. I love the jumpsuit above, if it’s in the Petite range, I believe I may just have to put it on my Christmas wishlist. I have to give it to them, I think ASOS are by far my all time favourite brand out there. Thanks big sis for the recommendation!

the best look books of a/w 13' primark

Primark: It’s been a year since I step foot into the beast. It’s getting a little too much to bare. My jelly shoes are calling for the frilly socks in pastel colours, but now this? *wipes away the tears* Pastel pinks in Autumn? How can this work so well? Furry crop tops with oversized jackets, how will I live without them in my life? Primark have got it so right, and it’s so wrong that I live hundreds of miles away from a Primark shop. Another of my predictions is ‘structure’, and oh boy are there a lot of beautifully structured pieces in the new collection. I believe I will be asking my sister to order some things off of ASOS for me. (How mean is that? Putting ‘Primarni’ on my favourite online shop, and not allowing European shipping?) I can’t wait to go back to the UK soon. I have so much I want to buy! Ahhh!

Tulle Dresses & Neon Trainers

By August 17, 2013 Fashion

I’m writing this, or ‘was writing’ this late at night before bed, because I realised I had nothing to post today. I don’t really know where this post is going, but something is better than nothing I guess. This is the first spontaneous post I have done in a while. It feels normal again. I have nothing ‘I have to publish’ at the moment. I like it. Thank goodness!

tulle dressesThe White Pepper Tulle Skirt £28.00 (ASOS), The White Pepper Chiffon Midi Dress with Sheer Top £28.50 (ASOS), GEL-Noosa Tri 8 (Asics), Nike Air Vortex Hyper Blue Trainers £65.00 (ASOS) & Nike Free Run 2 Ext Trainers £80.00 (ASOS).

My obsession with Tulle Dresses & Neon Trainers together started when I saw Susie Bubble instagram a picture of her at her £1 Yard Sale (It started at 11am, it ended at 11.10am. Yup, everything sold in the space of 10 minutes!!!), and I literally fell in love. 2 things which should be so wrong together, look some how… absolutely stunning? I’m not the hugest of Susie Bubble fans (sorry…), but I do like her style, especially the outfit she wore on that day.

Not only is tulle such an interesting fabric to look at and feel, the trainers add a touch of ‘hipster’ (ergh, what an awful word), and an awful lot of comfort for your feet. I’ve had quite a few Nikes (Is it Nike-ys or Nikes? So controversial… I told you I had know idea where this post was going!) over the years at school, and not only did think they made my legs look quite ‘athletic’, they were super duper snug. I still have my size 4 pair in the shoe basket which don’t fit at all, yet I still hope that one day my feet will shrink… um, nat’ gonna’ happen. I give you permission to call me Tolly Big Feet.

To make my love for neon trainers even bigger, and my long for the perfect pair at a reasonable price even harder to bare, the owner of a restaurant we had a drink in the other day, was wearing the beauties above (similar are linked with the other trainers). I don’t know why but french men seem to have good taste in footwear… aren’t they amazing?! I loved them so much I wrote down the brand and googled them when I got home, to my dismay, they are men’s only (I could so rock them though couldn’t I?), and were £100+, or should I say dollars. *Curse you American brands for only stocking things in America, even thought that makes perfect sense* I am now on the hunt for a cheap pair of neon trainers which are super duper comfy and will last me forever and ever, AND a tulle dress in a pretty bright colour. Thanks Susie.

ASOS Women’s & Men’s Bargain Finds: Under £20

By July 10, 2013 Fashion, My Style

WOW! It has been a heck of along time since I did some full on ‘bloggy woggy’ stuff hasn’t it? I have missed it very much, so here is a double decker post! A very odd, 9, ASOS bargains for both men and women! I hope you enjoy the old me again! Haha! Also, scroll down for something extra special! Yes, I do mean my Girl Talk feature! Eeep!

asos1

1. Shiny Pu Jacket £14.00, 2. Petite Exclusive Tie Dye Skinny Jeans £10.50, 3. Fetch Leather Studded Sandals £10.50, 4. Peace Sign Skinny Waist Belt £2.00 & 5. T-Shirt With Embellished David Bowie £17.50.

PU Jacket: I don’t really know why, but I LOVE this jacket! I would never go for something like it, but it just looks quite unusual! It’s a right bargain too in the sale! Hopefully if I get some more dosh, I will be able to grab it before it goes off the site! I would probably wear it with some nice smart printed trousers, or a jumpsuit.

Skinny Jeans: Again, what a bargain?! These are so cute! They would be perfect for summer with a nice neon top and some sandals. For £11.00, you can’t really go wrong with these jeans!

Sandals: I have been needing some sandals for ages now, and these are so cute! I love the multi coloured studs and the fact that they look quite comfy is a plus too. I prefer sandals with wider strappy bits so they feel more secure on my tiny feet!

Belt: Just like the PU Jacket, I’m not really sure why but I kinda’ love this belt? It’s very cheap and cheerful, and for £2.00 I am thinking maybe to buy it! It would be nice with a maxi skirt or a jumpsuit!

David Bowie Top: HELLO! OMG. This top is so cool! If you are a lover like of the legend himself, just like me my whole family, then I believe you may need this. It is quite expensive, and I am sure you could find a good dupe, but I love how it is embellished, and it looks quite slouchy, so it is a nice tuckable(?! – I do make up some funny words!) top.

asos2

6. Primark Mickey Mouse Sweat Top £8.00, 7. Cropped Boyfriend Sweatshirt £16.00, 8. Green Tort Wayfarer with Mirror £7.00 & 9. Round Sunglasses with Multi Colour Mirror Lens £15.00

Mickey Mouse Sweatshirt: There are quite a few reasons I shouldn’t even be looking at this jumper. 1 – I simply do not have the cash, 2 – The weather is *fingers crossed* staying hot from now on, and 3 – Primark on ASOS don’t ship abroad! I know it’s a UK brand, but you would have thought that would be a reason for going on ASOS! #rage. However, you guys in the UK are very lucky because you can buy this amazingly cute and retro sweatshirt. You lucky devils.

Cropped Sweatshirt: Again, I really shouldn’t be looking at sweatshirts when it is 35 degrees outside.. *oops* but I just LOVE this one! It’s a really nice colour and I love how it is cropped. You could make this really dressy with smart trousers, or simple and casual with a pair of jeans or shorts. Simple but sweet!

Mirrored Wayfarers: These are actually from the men’s section at ASOS, but I LOVE them! I used to own a £1 pair similar to these from Primark, but when we moved house, sadly they passed away – RIP Mirrored Lens *sob sob* – but these are even better! They have such a cool print and a nice lens colour!

Round Mirrored Sunglasses: Again, sticking with the theme of men’s mirrored lenses, these are AMAZING!! I have been really loving LLYMLRS blog and she has been rocking a plain black pair of these. I simply need them in my life. NOW…. sadly my bank account does not agree.

I hope you like the bargains I found! Moving on to the extra special thing… LOOK! It’s me in Girl Talk! I was only expecting to be in the magazine and on the plastic sleeve, but it was quite a nice surprise when I saw my face on the cover! WOOP! It would make my day if you could pick it up! Sorry these aren’t amazing quality pictures, but I have put a PDF image below too!! Thanks so much for your support once again! Love you guys!

Charity Shop, ASOS & British Haul!

By February 23, 2013 Fashion, My Style

Bonjour again! I was going to do a video to this post but I’m too cold! And, the lighting today has been terrible, so I didn’t! Most of you will know that Papa Posh just got back from the UK on a short trip back, and he brought me back some goodies! A long with that I have also had a few purchases as well, so I thought I would put them altogether and do a Haul for you! Some of things you can get, and some of things you can’t but hey ho, it makes a good post! (Sorry about bad pictures, only on the iPhone today!)

It’s a really nice size, and I think if I ever get an iPad, this would be perfect!photo 1 (2)Yes! I got some designer clothes! I think these were about 5 euros each (BARGAIN ALERT). At first I looked at the Kenzo – yes KENZO – one, and thought it was gross but with my midi skirt – Post coming soon! – I think it will look really good, as well as the D&G top which is a little too big, but I think it will still look good with a white cami underneath.photo 4I am so excited to start reading this month’s issue! It’s so pretty and colourful! I always look forward to them!

Sorry there are no pictures of the shoes! I accidently deleted it at first, and then I forgot to take a picture the second time! 😛 Anyway, I hope you like this, and be sure to read it over and over again, because I am telling you now, I am not going to be spending after this Haul!

What have you bought recently? Have you bought anything similar to these? Make sure to tell me in a comment below!
